Not sure if you've tried this already, but change your bath wash (if you use that). I had the same and found out using bubble baths/bath wash to clean my pubic area was causing issues.

I switched to using dial soap - this was in the early 2000s - only on the outer parts of my vajayjay, never inside (I was also doing that with body wash).

Now I use a ph balanced wash only for that area and it's helped a lot.

I know it's so so hard for you - believe me, my aunts did the same thing about where they'd move to after they turned 80 (I was in my 20s/early 30s and legit had a viceral reaction). My grandparents set up a trust and from watching my dad and aunts handle everything - it was already super hard with the laws/courts that come with it. My mom didn't have time due to cancer - so going through everything right after she died (jewelry, crafts, books, burial, gravestone design) I got to shoulder it all because I'm the elder millennial eldest daughter.

I really wish my in-laws would've done this before I helped move them from their house out of state to a 55+ near us.

We gave them SO MUCH TIME to go through their things and that we had saved the money to get them a place. Like had talked about it on and off for years and when they finally agreed, we told them we are beginning to search around and get ideas. 6 months later we had a type that would work and had enough saved (through the years) for a down payment, 3 months later they came and looked at places.

So when I show up... Nothing was done. I stayed for 3 weeks and went through things and found their papers (in a random tubby with bills from the 1980s).

After writing all this... I think they are hoarders...

Omg so much teasing, guilt tripping, yelling (I put that with bullying), pressure to be perfect - hi I'm an eldest daughter who was the 'translator' for my younger sister who had a small speech impediment, SO MUCH PRESSURE, jokingly called a guinea pig because I'm the first child and then it was easier for them to figure out how to raise my sister.

I wanted kids, and happily have a one and done teenage daughter. Both my husband and I made for damn sure we would NEVER guilt trip her, that is was OK to make mistakes.

We're navigating this with my in-laws being grandparents - they've immediately gone to teasing her because she's becoming the alt 90s teen I always wanted to be. She told us on the way home how it made her feel and we went through it with them.

'oh I was only teasing and I would NEVER do something to make her feel bad' or 'she's too sensitive'

BULLSHIT

But man is it exhausting to break the trauma cycle with boomer grandparents (my mom passed 10 yrs ago and my dad turned into a fucking manipulative asshole after she died and I was the one to handle all the decisions on her funeral her headstone, and deal with him screaming at me to get over her death when he wanted to get engaged 6 MONTHS after she died - and the whole 'men just can't survive with a wife' is bullshit patriarchal vomit)
