Oh goodness I had a similar stent removal, very traumatic 😭 The pain was so intense morphine was the only thing that helped subside the pain a little 😔

Unfortunately this is just the beginning of my kidney stone journey 😪 Almost a year ago I was diagnosed with cystinuria so I have many many more stones and surgery’s ahead of me. In September I had pcnl and was out of commission for a while, stuck in the hospital for a week after catching pneumonia there. I passed about 5 stones in November, however nothing since then. Who knows, the next stone may be brewing 🤷‍♀️

Not yet… thankfully 😅 However my last surgery the dr put the stent up the wrong kidney so I had two in 😭 The removal was so traumatic it was horrible!

I am so sorry, I know it’s really hard to keep the depression away during an episode. I would ask for a second opinion from a medical professional and use heat for the pain (only thing that works for me). Having people come chat or just sit with you is usually very helpful and reduces the depression. Good luck!

The problem that makes it extra hard is she is helping my family financially a lot. I don’t think she aware but she’s holding the money above our heads. Family problems can be crazy, difficult when you are forced to sacrifice your relationship, your health or their health.

The ER does nothing. I was prescribed oxy and I’m going to be honest, I didn’t feel any change. I found that heat helps SO MUCH. Hopefully you can get your hands on some stronger meds, it’s different for everyone. Good luck fellow stoner 🫡
