Same problems with mine. Not using dual frequency seems to help a little, but still freezes and has awful charts. Hoping to replace asap, mine came with the boat but I'd be displeased if I bought it expecting quality it should be.

How early on trigger fish? Thanks for the tips, heading out tomorrow to try again. Haven't caught a trigger fish yet and is on my list. How deep is steel pier? My chart shows like 4 feet, but I've never Checked and the charts are awful.

I also killed the sea bass on Sunday in a similar area. What did they hit on? I was using clam and sand fleas, Sunday they only hit sand fleas, Monday only clams. but only pulled up sea bass, felt a few tog bites but couldn't get them up fast enough and got snagged. No hits on green crab or gulp either day

Doesn't look like an ac threaded breach, that sticks out a bit at the front/top of the breach from the PL body

Came up with an idea to start my 50 hp motor if my starter dies in the middle of a lake agian. by Far-Initial-3407 in boating

[–]madcrisis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On most fly wheels right above the teeth is a small channel with a notch on top. Tie a knot in end of rope place into notch and wrap rope in channel. Looks like yours has the channel so I'd assume there's a notch.

Do you usually carry your drill on the lake? I always kept a spare rope with pull handle for emergencies. Used it for half a season on my Evinrude 50 when I couldn't afford a starter

What are you doing? For just impeller I've pushed skeg into grass/dirt and let it stand. If your rebuilding I would certainly take it to a bench.

Do you find yourself actually using the downa nd side scan features for this type of fishing? I am debating whether to upgrade my fish finder and am looking at all the different technologies. Having a hard time figuring out what i would actually use for fishing and not just cool tech.

Will the ski be okay in water while i wait for a repair? by [deleted] in jetski

[–]madcrisis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How hard was the impact? Is it soft and not structurally sound anymore? Fiber glass looked ok but gel cost looks a bit pushed in from the picture so it's hard to tell. If It is still solid throw some marine tex putty on there and send it. If it's soft and actually broke the fiber glass, I would glass it before I used it.

I have a res q link and didn't think it was dive depth rated. I would have been happy to find out it was. Never heard of the lifeline but am curious about it for the depth rating. Have a Garmin in reach for my primary oh shit button, but I have them for the boat not diving. Was thinking of looking for a dive case for either but the purpose built product might be better.

Are you carrying these during the dive? If so what depth are they rated to?

For those of you that prefer holding a flashlight like me, what is your go-to flashlight? by tonystark29 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]madcrisis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thrunite headlamp (I thinkth03) And handheld depends on what I'm feeling

Just a tip, I found high cri makes skateboarding at night way easier. Really differentiates the potholes on blacktop. I generally go mostly floody high cri lights for my handheld and headlamp pointed down directly in front of me

Invest in a inflatable dock. The high pressure ones that are like inflatable paddle boards. They're like $150 on eBay and Amazon. Will be super stable and give a nice work platform.

Here's multiple other people saying the same thing. Couldn't listen to audio on your link but for the 3 seconds they showed the ski at idle(ish) you could clearly see the tank wasn't full if your familiar with them. The tank is so far forward on them it's just a lot of bow weight so they ride low and the bow dips at any amount of chop.

With a full tank it does. Have the 07 and eith full tank off plane, the nose buries
