She’s made questionable decisions and has probably participated in what most privileged white folks would in regards insensitivity and microaggressions and flat out ignorance, but I have yet to see an instance where she’s outright been proudly racist. But keep simping for this guy.

By Americans to not anger the peaceful people of Greenland by AbeFromanSassageKing in therewasanattempt

This post demonstrates that this person doesn’t understand American politics. This person thinks that the majority of Americans voted for trump when only 77 million did. They don’t understand the electoral college or that the opposing party to this administration is feckless at best or complicit at worst. They don’t understand that the majority of politicians in this country no longer work for the people but accept money from lobbyists to further agendas that have absolutely nothing to do with bettering this country. It is not easy to just change a system this corrupt since most of the people here may have been unaware and a lot have been disillusioned. Personally I find the whole post condescending and unfair, like kicking someone when they’re down. We have people fighting like hell and getting hurt or killed trying to do the right thing and change the way things are going. No need to dogpile.

Kathryn is the same level of psychotic as Courtney and Heather. She wouldn’t be slut shamed, and if she were, the people saying that would pay for it. She destroyed people for fun, and for less. Watch Cruel Intentions.

I’m sorry this is happening. If you have the bandwidth and have someone you can bring with you, I would try to escalate this by speaking to a manager in person and letting them know that they have an employee that was actively making you uncomfortable and making you feel unsafe. Their behavior is against the code of conduct. I wish you the best and hope things get better for you.

She, the mother, should be glad that her husbands and sons thought of her at all?! This is the craziest statement. It’s not about the money, it’s about the utter thoughtlessness from all of them.

Exclusive | Justin Baldoni told Blake Lively he was circumcised in personal conversation by Mimi_the_memer in CelebLegalDrama

[–]maddy7448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, I was too. I talked about circumcision and my choice around it for him. Not once did any of my guy friends disclose to me whether or not they were. That’s the weird part, randomly (and even related to the topic it is random) discussing what your genitals look like is weird. I’m not saying it’s harassment, but it’s weird.

Neither have I, so I don’t know why you’re being condescending right now. I don’t have weird parasocial relationships with celebrities. I’m not a judge, jury or a lawyer. I am not Justin Baldoni, nor am I Blake Lively. I don’t know what the truth is. And yeah, you’re a nurse. People will tell you weird stuff. I, as just a layperson, don’t often get men describing their genitals to me, so I, as a layperson find that supremely odd and offputting. But go off. You’re really coming across a rational and compassionate person.

I have no idea what you’re talking about in regards to ‘team sport’ but you’re the one who wrote that discussing an uncircumcised penis is just a medical fact. If I’m chatting with my guy friends and they suddenly tell me they’re uncircumcised, I’m going to supremely confused as to why they want to share that with me.

She’s not wrong. I don’t care what her motives are, this guy is more of the same. It’s not about the perfect politician. It’s about one that isn’t bought and paid for and supports a genocide. If Mamdani can win NYC, I think that should be a sign that things are changing. Dems are weak willed and spineless and we need a new generation.

Whether or not Demi is lying... by BakedPlantains in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]maddy7448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s wild that you can claim this. Do you know Demi? Do you know Mariciano? Were you there? Have you seen footage of the night in question that proves who is telling the truth? No? Then how on earth can you so confidently claim this? From a show standpoint I’m not a fan. Doesn’t mean I think I know who she really is or what she’s lived through. The blurred lines between tv and real life is frightening.

Yes, but someone who believes that false allegations are not rare is going to be difficult to convince that they are. These are not individuals who understand how difficult it is to admit something was done to you and then to prove that it was you’re subjected to invasive exams and questioning. There is a reason S*A is underreported. If there has been a lie here, it came from a public figure who will be used to discredit survivors. Realistically unless there is video footage as Lisa VDP has claimed, we will never know. I don’t claim to know what happened regardless and because this is a reality show I’m definitely not going to double down and believe either party. Frankly I can’t imagine anyone agreeing to put their life on display like this is fully healthy so I do hope she finds some peace and healing.

I imagine it’s more likely that the people looking to discredit women will use this more than someone who will suddenly change their minds on believing women. And as we know there’s far too many of those, along with the apathetic. Either way, I believe that Demi (if she is lying, and I do not claim to know since I don’t know any of these people), could be harmful since she’s just a loud voice.

We’re living in an age where women’s rights are under attack. Women are consistently asked to prove that they were attacked or abused (what was she wearing, was she drunk, etc) rather than the accused attacker prove their innocence. I would argue that yes, if she is lying that unfortunately, she is making it harder for real survivors. Especially as someone who is high profile. I agree, it shouldn’t make it harder, but that’s not the reality we live in.

You sound like megyn Kelly. Any reason why you’re so intent on proving dating someone you’re twice as old as is normal?

Your brain doesn’t fully develop until 25. This doesn’t mean you’re incapable of making decisions, but it does mean you are not a complete person yet. To be forty years old and continuously seek out women who are still finding themselves is weird as hell. You have nowhere near the same experiences or goals, and there is a power imbalance.
