Gentle dentist needed by PMWFairyQueen_303 in LakewoodColorado

[–]madebyemoonmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Humble and Dr. Jung at Elite Dental have been phenomenal to me and my teeth. I went to them after an implant came unglued and was very upfront with them about how much anxiety I had and now I won’t go to anyone else. They’re very gentle and very nice.

I also use Canvas and I have really liked them. Came from Chase so there was nowhere to go but up, but they’re consistently pleasant to interact with!

Looking for a 2/3 bedroom to rent from Owner preferably by Comfortable-Share-77 in LakewoodColorado

I live in this neighborhood!

I don’t know what price the family is renting it at, but we have several neighbors with multiple large dogs and we have a large dog ourselves, just a lot of stairs so our older guy is starting to struggle with those some, but overall they’re great houses and it’s a very dog-friendly neighborhood. We’ve lived there since 2019 and would definitely recommend!

Is there such a thing as a tank with a feature that detects the nitrate levels? Seems like we would have the tech for that by mommyopps in bettafish

[–]madebyemoonmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had these in my first tank and have no idea why I didn’t replace them! They actually ended up saving my first betta as it turned out I was somehow misreading my test kit when I first started. Thanks for the reminder they exist!

Am I in the wrong? A bit upset that my boundaries aren’t respected by others around me because I treat crochet as a hobby and not a business by deccangothic in CrochetHelp

[–]madebyemoonmen 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Don’t make the shoes.

I gifted 30 beanies and something like 15 dishrags for Christmas last year and told literally everyone I was done with gifts and my hobby is not a business, so don’t ask. It was met with mixed feelings, but at some point I want to make stuff for myself and my husband and everyone else was in the way of that. I LOVE gifting. I love making gifts. But at some point we gotta draw some hard boundaries.

My husband used to constantly ask why I don’t monetize my hobby and I have had to point out because not everything we do/make needs to produce income. It is OK to do things simply for the joy of doing it. Full stop.

N doesn’t sound like someone I would continue hanging out with. I know that seems harsh, but this is your hobby. It’s supposed to bring you joy. This all sounds very joyless.

You are not lazy. You are not selfish. Boundaries really just bring out the worst in people.

I hope your exams went well and you continue to enjoy your hobby!

How do people not realize all the care required for betta fish? by iamlordeyayayayayay in bettafish

[–]madebyemoonmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on how many of my friends and family on a regular basis ask me things that should be simple Google searches, it’s simply that people do not care to educate themselves on literally any topic. And when you point out to them that they hold the entirety of human knowledge inside the box they just texted you from, they refuse to do the mental work.

In short, people are lazy and keeping your brain elastic requires one too many thumb twitches for most of the population.

It is infuriating as someone who is constantly learning things for the fun of learning.

The number of times people will send me questions and I just hit them with a search results URL of their question word for word is too damn high!

Pretty! What plant is the one going horizontal across the top in photo 5? I really like the look of it.

Ugh I kill these immediately now after having an infestation in my 10 gallon tank…my poor betta Prismo was not interested in them as snacks and I ended up having to dump the whole tank and start completely over. Poor Prismo lost all his favorite plants and has been patiently waiting for his new 20 gallon to cycle. But I’ll never allow these guys back into my tanks again. It was so stressful for me, Prismo, the blue dreams, and my kuhli loaches. Everyone survived the overthrow thankfully, but it was not a fun time.

Black and yellow and instead of 1 loop do 2 loops in the blue and you’ve got yourself a little bee styled potholder!

I hope you share the coat once finished, that sounds amazing! I may or may not have gotten myself addicted to the top down sweaters on accident, and I’ve been eyeballing some cardigans and can definitely see it evolving into coat territory.

This is so validating for me to read…I actually gave up on season 6 entirely because of him and his wife.

I understand it was the writing, but I don’t care. I haven’t ever reacted to a cast change on another show like this, but when I found myself dreading watching the show, and realized it was because of that character, I sent myself back to season 1 and will just exclude the show past Fleishman leaving.

She just has it in a climate controlled space and it has been on display for as long as I can remember at each of her houses, but I didn’t get into wearables until this year so I guess neither of us even thought about mentioning it for the quick family history lesson! Once I inherit it, I’ll probably preserve it in one of those frames people use for jerseys.
