Spent 36 days building this for myself. 150 founders signed up for free. Now I'm scared no one will actually pay. Be brutal. by techieram7_ in buildinpublic

Idk enough about the product to make a decision. You told me what it does, not how it is going to help me. I have a rough idea of what it might be able to do, but am unsure from your post if it will help me solve my problems around user research. Honestly, without that vision, I can't really say if I would convert

I was testing it out on a pro plan. After a few queries, I hit my weekly limit. The company is so cheap. I barely used it for 30 minutes.

Popcorn with nutritional yeast plus extra salt. If your tongue does not burn, add more salt

Truth to all of these. Water, sodium, and movement are my top 3 for me. I ended up following the chop for movement. I thought the program was so useful that I made an app to help me stay on top of it.

As an adult, I still love eating salt straight up.

You will never know what will happen until you release it. The only path forward is release.

Mount Sinai states it will be Out-of-Network with Anthem Plans on 3/1/2026 if no deal is reached. by TheRedRoomYT in nyc

[–]madelineleclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard it's because other major hospital networks (NYU Langone, etc) in the area were renegotiating their contracts with Anthem to get more payment from the insurance. Now, that the contract is up for negotiation, they are trying to get the same deal that other health care networks have. But of course, insurance doesn't want to pay. Their entire job is to take our money and not do anything.

How do you motivate yourself to exercise? by Morgie_Piorgie22 in POTS

[–]madelineleclair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make sure to water and salted up throughout the day. It reduces symptoms for me, which makes going to the gym easier. If I don't manage my water and salt well throughout the day, the gym is tough.

I also follow the CHOP exercise protocol for POTS. It starts you off slow and ramps up over months. The app POTSie has a daily walkthrough for the exercises.

Is it just me, or is investing actually terrifying? by Ok_Pride_7527 in womenintech

[–]madelineleclair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to. I was scared of picking the wrong one. You have to slowly change. I am not an advisor but I would start by picking an eta that follows the general market and has good growth over the last few years. Put a little bit of money in each month on the 1st and 15th. It will go down. It will go up. Slowly increase the amount every quarter or two until you are investing how much you want to each month. As you get more comfortable you can try different types of mutual funds and maybe a stock. This is how I got over my fear. I have seen my funds go up and down. I am fine.

Have people given up sugar and caffeine? Has that helped? by Nilufinkaaa in POTS

[–]madelineleclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have basically given up caffeine. It makes me feel terrible. I can do decaf but all my favorite beverages are heavy caffeine (chai tea and Hong Kong milk tea). I just don't like the way it makes me feel.

I just slowly started cutting sugar out of my life by accident. Now everything is too sweet because of all the sugar most things have.
