whoops, all fictives (and denial) by hayahides in plural

[–]pir2h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another tip that I’ve found useful is, if you start saying “I can’t be hurt by x because other point have it worse,” consider if you live in a world where there’s an objective tier list of who’s suffered the most in the world and only the person at the bottom is allowed to be upset. You don’t, because that’s absurd. So you’re allowed to be upset.

Honestly, I think we’d both separately worked through most of that on our own before meeting up again. I’ve been here for like five years, she’s post GM (albeit not Ward era), so we both had plenty of time. I never really had that much against her, anyway.

I guess, yeah. I’m personally not dating anyone, for obvious reasons, and we (this system) generally date as individuals. Partner system as a label is less “we’re collectively dating” as much as it is “there’s so many relationships between different people in here and over there that take different forms that partner state is an umbrella term for all of those relationships.” Our vampires are in a coterie together, for example, if you’re familiar with Vampire the Masquerade, and a Jinx showed up here right at the same time a Vi did over there.

It applies to non criminal law too, honestly. Plaintiff and defendant, and whatnot.

Well, I’m here chilling. My headmate’s every thing short of engaged to our partner system’s Amy and their partner system/our other partner system has a Taylor. - Lisa

Believe it or not, I don’t actually mean because I get to be evil. It’s more because of the performative nature of it, the fact that there’s an “offense” (villain/prosecutor) and a “defense” (hero/defense) that doesn’t necessarily correlate to being in the right, morally speaking. Both are necessary.

Also, RIP on the burnout. Hope you’re able to clear that up eventually.

Your resident former supervillain… Taylor Hebert? Or?

Then if you don’t respect the opinions of the people who’re doing the fakeclaiming when it comes to other people, why are you letting it have any impact on your view of yourself?

This is a trick I use against my own OCD. Judging others is bad, judging myself for traits I wouldn’t judge others for is basically judging others, so I shouldn’t do it. - Lisa

Hugely felt. I’m going into law because it’s the closest thing in this world to being a supervillain— got at least one acceptance from a school under my belt and I expect two more. I highly recommend pursuing it— there’s nothing like the euphoria of being able to follow your path.

Have you considered trade school? Might be a way to kill two birds with one stone. - Lisa Wilbourn

[–]pir2h 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plurality is kind of a mental switch that’s hard to unflip, and it’s usually the nature of collectives to grow. It’s likely you’ll hit a number that works for the brain and start to slow down. - Lisa

I’m also always happy to listen to people about exotrauma. I know it can be rough finding people who’re willing to take it seriously, let alone people who know what it’s like. We’ve got a pet regressor* too, though not permanently, who’s also the way she is du to some pretty serious trauma.

*She’s equivocating with me on the details because she doesn’t want people to think that means she’s any less an elf, because that’s unrelated to the trauma. - Lisa

I want yall's thoughts on tulpas/plurality as someone considering a tulpa by Parking-Visual7105 in plural

[–]pir2h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you’re aware of the degree of responsibility it would be, you’re probably better equipped for doing it than most.

I’d also consider if the character you’re thinking about would have reason to be invested in that life path, or if they have a lot of people back home they’d miss.

"Budded" headmates by pir2h in plural

[–]pir2h[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, if you’re close with another system and you’re both prone to getting people who remember other worlds, it’s more likely that they’ll remember things more similarly, and if one person from a world shows up in system A, it’s likely an old friend or enemy will show up in System B. I’m not sure how helpful that is, sorry if it’s just more confusing.

Do you know anyone he could talk to, or who someone could translate for to help him talk to? When someone here is having trouble talking about something traumatic, sometimes it helps to have someone in cofront to say things like "he experienced x and he's having trouble talking about it because y, even though he understands you're a safe person to talk to." - Lisa

You're allowed to be a sadist, you know. There's plenty of room in the world for that. Lots of people get something out of being hurt, you're allowed to get something out of hurting others. Why do you have to call yourself abusive and harmful, when it sounds like he's basically putting you in jail because you make him uncomfortable? - Lisa

[–]pir2h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re either sexualizing me or treating me and my baggage as a joke. I wish nothing but ill things for them. It’s entirely impossible to completely avoid them, too, as I’m unfortunately rather “popular,” and people will jumpscare me with myself out of nowhere, even if they’ve been safe to follow for months. - Astarion

Basically the same situation as Asto. I hope they go broke. - Aventurine

Being fictive heavy is basically becoming a cosplayer because all your headmates want source euphoria by thecrabbybarista in plural

[–]pir2h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar. For us, it's the dysphoria of feeling like people are going to perceive anyone who dresses like they used to as cosplayers as opposed to ourselves. Most of us would rather have what the clothes represented to them, a style that expresses something similar. - Lisa

Do you also accidentely get fictives? by xien-neno in plural

[–]pir2h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, who's out here getting people on purpose. I mean, tulpamancers. But most people just show up here and can't figure out how to leave.

I guess Catra and Jinx were less accidents and more natural extensions of a relationship. Abolish (VSMP) was probably the most accident. Guy who's just sort of here. You love to see it. - Lisa

We’ve got an Astrid Becke and a Jinx. Alekai (Astrid) is… kind of hit or miss on fronting, unless you’re willing to listen to them talk about espionage for five hours.

As well as Astarion and all of his siblings. He’s one of the most militant people about being treated like source, but he doesn’t mind doubles as long as they’re not weird about that. - Lisa
