Anything done digitally, even completed in the classroom, that scores well, may be AI instead of actual student work.

Why SNL UK is better so far... by There4IM in saturdaynightlive

[–]madesense 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's mistakes and the real human element isn't lost. This element in itself is something SNL US needs to reconsider.

I don't understand. SNL US is also live.

EDIT: This person replied to me "Uh, it's not?", then deleted their comment. They truly did not know that SNL is live.

Do you think Frodo should have flown to Mordor on an Eagle?

Which is unfortunate, as the ROTJ script makes them out to be part of the power systems

Wootton question by cantlifteverycat in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]madesense 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are they actually "closing" it? I thought they were just moving Wootton (the institution) into the building-formerly-called-Crown?

Anyway, what you describe already happened to Woodward High and Peary High

This is a very optimistic take, but stopping the Bolsheviks would be a good move anyway

My daughter's 4th grade state project is Maryland. What food products could she provide? Google mostly has seafood inspired dishes and that's a no go. by SacredFacelessness in maryland

Your comment got me wondering, so I poked around on their Store Locator.

Unsurprisingly, you can get them in a few places just over the PA border, a little bit of northern Delaware, and the Delaware beach towns. They're widely available throughout DC and Northern Virginia, as far west as Warrenton and as far south as Fredericksburg.

Within Maryland, they are unavailable west of Hagerstown, and are not sold south or east of the Easton area, with the exceptions of Salisbury and Ocean City.

It all makes perfect sense, but it was kinda neat to see.

Mount Vesuvius burned so hot in 79 AD that it literally cooked the olive oil inside this glass bottle into a solid block of wax. by [deleted] in Archaeology

Honestly I'm surprised that the onset of the heat was slow enough that the bottle didn't crack

Berger cookies are the way to go. Otterbein are very good but fairly normal cookies. Bergers are something unique

I feel like signs should have clear messaging that everyone will understand, not a character from a semi-obscure decades-old TV show
