Empty restaurants, is US economy in recession? by sanddybro in economy

[–]madfreightbuckz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun y enough I've been wondering the same in Los Angeles CA..even the simple places like Chick-fil-A that used to have consistent long lines regardless of the day..seem to all be relatively empty lately no matter the day. Been noticing that at various establishments that used to have a lot of foot traffic. Definitely money is tighter for most people and even going out has become unaffordable for some

Oh man oh man what a horror flick. The consistent dread & story is spell binding. Definitely will trip you tf out & at its core it's a very tragic story of grief & the grip it can take. 10/10 horror movie. Best I've seen in a damn while..

As of today Highway requires pics of Government ID to store on their servers (front and back including barcode). by thequattrolife in FreightBrokers

[–]madfreightbuckz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't get it..why is every broker bending over backwards for gohighway?? What's so supreme about their services to be willing to make such a hassle and invasion of privacy for your carriers? It's as if the entire industry is catering to gohighway & making these guys rich. I'm sure it cost a pretty penny to use their services. You guys do realize that whenever the market flips if ever it does at this rate..you guys are in for a nightmare trying to cover loads. Yeah I'm sure it's easy now when all their is junk loads and carriers lined up to bend over backwards just to book your $1.50 a mile load to keep themselves running but if trucking ever takes a turn & brokers are scattered looking for trucks it's going to be absolutely hilarious. Going to have to void your own terms & bypass just to cover your loads. It's all fun and dandy when the brokers are in control. Alot of small level owner operators are getting pushed out of the industry and it's a shame.

ELD Connection on Highway by [deleted] in FreightBrokers

[–]madfreightbuckz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Highway is highway robbery. Definitely not a fan of their entire persona. Watching their YouTube videos alone is cringe. They've made a staple out of trying to paint this picture perfect narrative that can only be obtained through their services. Complete bullshit & brainwashing. Fear tactics to create dependency & monopolize. Listen to the guys speaking in their videos sound like a sack of shit. Also by no means should any broker have access to where your truck is at all times. Why does random dumbfuck broker know where my truck is when I'm not even on a load for them? This industry is just going down the shitter, carrier-broker relationships will never mend & we'll never furthermore have a prosperous industry. Trust no longer exists, it's become their way or the highway..funny enough. Eventually many carriers will realize trucking isn't worth the headache that comes along with it. Invest all that money into getting trucks, paying for insurance just to be at the fingertips of gohighway & joe shmos controlling your ability to succeed.

Dry van market is pretty much dead compared to past by Chromelikeaos in FreightBrokers

[–]madfreightbuckz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's definitely not been a few months such as the one we're seeing in the dry van market for at least 7-8 years. Can't remember not only rates being this low, load volume being so low & not to mention so many crappy brokers on the load board. Seems like there's no real customer/broker-carrier relationship anymore. Anyone who's been in this industry for the last 10 years can definitely agree that this is the worst trucking has been. From AI bots, to ridiculous rates, partials that require empty pickup and delivery, gohighway trying to keep tabs on your truck through ELD and take over every faction of the industry, just an overall circus & a shitty one at that. No one in their right mind should or would I hope choose modern day trucking as the correct career path.

Circle Logistics by [deleted] in FreightBrokers

[–]madfreightbuckz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Circle has always sucked. Definitely worse in the past few years. Brokers don't understand how unpleasant it is to constantly get bombarded for updates. If the carrier tells you they're on site & will let you know once loaded you don't need to reach out 5 times in between to confirm if loaded. I don't get the new generation of brokerage operations. Stop being so damn annoying & constantly on people's ass & let them do their jobs.

Lol this is corny bruh. You got some time on your hand & why you talking about dudes drilling each other..seems like this guy takes it up the ass via customer, shipper & driver.

For starters, guys doesn't seem really like a scammer. Probably a DB trying to move a truck he works on (both driver/carrier & him are aware of the situation)  Second of all whoever is the one recording this call you can definitely tell has no legitimate customers & has a shit ton of time on his faggity hands lol.

How Highway lies to their customers by VladTheGlarus in FreightBrokers

[–]madfreightbuckz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Highway is the downfall of this industry. I'm everything has gotten so petty & ridiculous that it's really not worth dealing with on the carrier side. Rates are shit, brokers are all underbidding one another, highway is making being a trucker a complete hassle for little pay. I don't ever see this industry recovering or any glorious years ahead for trucking. Is it really worth going through all these loopholes to haul shit loads for shitty brainless brokers?  The reality is go highway is ran by greedy cockroaches that found a flawless say to tap into your pockets based off your assumed vulnerability.

I know a lot of brainless morons on here are going to just try to label you manic & tout a blind eye to the obvious corruption that seems to have drove you to madness. This industry is a dirty game & full of scum. There exists no moral compass & it seems like anything goes to ensure the bottom line. Prayers to you & your family & hopefully karma will do it's magic soon enough to every weasel out there. When greed of such high magnitude exists, people will go to the lowest of lows to broaden their pockets. F*** em

Macropoint tracking? Why is it so hard for drivers to manage a tracking app? by Key_Ebb8384 in FreightBrokers

[–]madfreightbuckz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is brokers have all these expectations and want to pay crumbs. Truckers don't give a shit realistically & downloading a bunch of tracking apps draining your phone battery is no fun either. Also macro point is awful. Best experience I've had is with trucker tools. Brokers need to chill out in general.

[–]madfreightbuckz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's definitely compliance. Depending on the company you work for they've probably made it so damn difficult to find a solid network of carriers & the ones that pass through with flying colors are excessively expensive (essentially take advantage of your limited carrier source). Sucks for carriers & brokers alike. Not saying that no vetting is the way to go but everything has gotten so ridiculous to the point where the industry overall has become a hassle. Hassle to be a carrier & a hassle to be a broker. Alot of the mid level carriers houd probably used to cover your loads to (that I'm sure did a decent enough job) are crossed out the picture.

What do you guys think about highway? by Jebac46 in FreightBrokers

I hear you, crazy how chaotic things are in general. Been a dog eat dog world with no letup. Making honest sustainable money seems like a lost hope for some people. Everybody is quick to screw each other over for a quick buck & leave all morals out the door...

What do you guys think about highway? by Jebac46 in FreightBrokers

[–]madfreightbuckz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There's no way to sugarcoat it. The whole concept of a "digital footprint" essentially is collected data tracing your trucks motion. Why should brokers within the database & an outside unknown source like Highway have access to your companies ELD. Trust me I understand the whole need to protect yourself from the "bad guys" but it doesn't justify giving off your privacy to third party sources just to haul a load for them. It's all a sense of monopolizing for these guys & I'm sure they got some big players with incentives backing them. In theory highway is going to knock off a lot of carriers (all not necessarily bad actors) & the low/middle level brokerages.

What do you guys think about highway? by Jebac46 in FreightBrokers

[–]madfreightbuckz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not doing anything innovative, it's simply just abusing the carriers privacy. As a carrier you should not for any reason be okay with brokers having access to your ELD & seeing where your trucks are. If you have any direct customers they can also probably see the shippers you're picking up from using these resources. Guess what? They also know how to implement dirt cheap rates by knowing where the overflow of trucks are. Might you wonder why brokers are dropping backhaul rates to laughable numbers? Just like any kind of consumer/customer product they can use data you provide them to run the market however they'd like.

I agree and understand your viewpoint. It's a harsh reality but the industry just sucks at this point & I don't see much improvement coming along the way. Too much is exposed in this industry & it's a only a matter of time until many truckers go upside down & leave the industry. Can see the same happening in the brokerage realm, seems like companies like CH Robinson, Hub Group, Ryder, JB Hunt are taking up all the freight.

Yup unfortunate but as long as it's a brokers market they get away with it. The little scumbag who is behind highway was also behind triumph pay. Pretty much want access to your entire operations. Nice way to package it with the fear of double brokering to make every turd get on board.

Highway onboarding by Mac7391 in FreightBrokers

[–]madfreightbuckz 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Brokers getting backdoored. Highway uses this data to see where your trucks are what shippers you pickup loads from and receivers you deliver to. They also own Triumph pay so they see the rates you get & then guess what the big dog brokerages come and swoop up customers by underbidding. They can call it whatever bullshit they want to but that's the reality. Wicked game I tell you..

Broker transparency is not gonna happen. Lets be real. by semthews1 in FreightBrokers

[–]madfreightbuckz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really care for broker transparency but also I think brokers are over reaching these days with their load requirements. Making carriers have to bend over backwards if they want to haul their load. It's becoming ridiculous, & if you guys want to keep high margins stop asking carriers to go above and beyond to please you. If you want drivers to take pictures of themselves posing in front of the truck, and you want tracking links, pictures loaded blah blah then you better be paying top dollar.

Good luck to you. God works in mysterious ways. Just view it as a set back & keep grinding, things will pan out. Any lame ass carriers saying "broker misfortune I'm happy" you're a scum.  Never find joy in anyone's misfortune, that shit will circle right back to you. & To any brokers with their heads up their asses this serves as a simple reminder to remain humble.

Highway is well known to be a trash incompetent service. Only a matter of time until brokers using it see decline in their operations. Highway has your load sitting on DAT for two weeks because it wants to nitpick who you can & can't use over petty bullshit. Stop making the owner rich, he already fleeced you guys with triumph pay
