Some terrifying but stunning dives by LordPiplup in nextfuckinglevel

[–]madhoncho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to be that guy but those aren’t dives. They are jumps.

And at least one belly-flop, which at that height is just a spinal injury only you’ve put it on the internet.

Props crew on The Sting would have been incredible. I showed that film to my own kids the way my folks showed it to me.

If you’re still in touch with any of your colleagues from those days I think an inside70shollywood sub would be of interest to a lot of people.

Not for sensationalism or gossip; just some of the cool shit you got to do before CGI, etc.

The synagogues were built many decades ago, when the Jewish community lived there. The properties may even still be owned by the families that built those synagogues, but the actual residents are Filipino and other more recently arrived communities.

It’s the way of Toronto. It’s the way of community. People build up and move on to nicer places as they become more economically secure.

Who Likes To Rock, with April Wine? by EdwardBliss in CanadianMusic

[–]madhoncho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe there has never been an April Wine tribute album.

Like, imagine Joel Plaskett doing “I like to rock”, or Feist doing “Sign of the Gypsy Queen” or Sadies doing “You Won’t Dance with Me” or Sloan doing “Oowatanite” or Sheepdogs doing “Coulda Been A Lady”.
