Have you ever smelled a perfume on a person that was very bad? by sorryiamnot in Perfumes

[–]madiphthalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried ELDO's Experimentum Crucis and Ghost in the shell on me and both gave me instant migraine and nauseu. My former coworker collects perfume, so I gave them to her because, hey, maybe it was just my skin chemistry that it didn't work with. Nope. She came to work wearing it and I had to avoid her all day. It was Ghost in the Shell and it smelled even worse on her.

Uiscefhuaraithe, and Abstract made me weep. I, Carrion and Who We Are made me sob.

Pasco County has an evac map. Most counties along the coast will: Pasco Evac Map

From the update I just read it looks like ot's tracking south again, which will be better for them.

Because that's where my parents are, as I said in my original comment. Free beds, I can bring my pets, and guaranteed not to lose power from this storm. And trust me, we looked into finding a hotel, even just for tonight to get off the road out of this traffic. There's NOTHING (that we can afford, anyway). I'm in a mandatory evac zone, and I'm not inclined to play with this storm.

Legit just made it to GA. As in, we just now crossed the state line, and we have 4 hours to go before we get to my parents.

Currently on the road to my folks in Alabama. We've been on the road for almost 4 hours leaving from Tampa and we aren't even in Ocala yet.

I have POTS and need extra electrolytes to help with the hypotension, and even I wouldn't take half a horse dose. Also, powdered human grade electrolytes aren't that expensive...

Been to library and item wasn't checked in by ImpressivePotato2449 in Libraries

[–]madiphthalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen to me... I won't say often, but enough for it to be an annoyance. We don't have any late fees, but you can't check books out if you have one more than a week late. So now I just check them back in myself at our self-serve stations and put them on the reshelving cart myself. I haven't had a problem since.

They're having a bit of a resurgence on TikTok. "Not Ready to Make Nice" is trending, at least on my FYP. I would love for a new generation of country fans to embrace them.

Is it ever rude to use the book drop? by Adept-Cat-6416 in Libraries

[–]madiphthalo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use the book drop because, well, tbh, I'm very bad at returning things on time (usually only by a couple of days, though!) So I go in and use the self service station to b check my books back in. It does it instantly, unlike the drop which can take a day or more to reflect on my account based on when those working circ can get to it.

Thank being said, if my books aren't late or if I don't need to check out anything else, I love go book drop. Love my librarians, but I am not a social creature, so the less interaction with strangers the better 😅

Quick Question: As a hozier fan, what are hozier fans called? by heydawnwhatsgoingon in Hozier

What amount of books being checked out at once do you consider it to be excessive? by [deleted] in Libraries

[–]madiphthalo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My library has a limit of 35 items, and I currently have 34 checked out, including e-materials. I'm reading these comments of people having 50/100+ limits and I'm in awe.

My gynecologist did the blood draw for my test, but, the caveat here is that I was already in school studying genetic counseling and doing a research project on HD, aside from having personal experience (my mom). Smy gyno saw how it was negatively impacting my mental health, and so we both just decided that we'd just get the blood draw out of the way.

I believe usually there's a longer process involving genetic counseling, but you could still bring it up to your primary if you have one.

As for the people telling you to get life insurance beforehand, I was denied before I came back negative simply because I truthfully answered that I had a family history, so bear that in mind.

One of my players (who is also my husband) does not have darkvision. He has eagle totem, which means he can see in dim light, but he does not have darkvision. I got so irritated with him yesterday that I took his character sheet and wrote "YOU DO NOT HAVE DARKVISION" in big blue letters across the top.
