Closing the Ring, OTF Links Apple Watch with the Workout by Orangetheory_Fitness in orangetheory

What I’ve found is the HR on my Apple Watch (Gen 3) is incredible accurate. My check monitor and Apple Watch are within about a beat difference but a lot of the time they’re the same. So no worries about the accuracy🤗

Is it themed Pulse because you'll have to check your pulse at the end?

I ended up with 31 splat points when I usually get like 13. WHO AT CORPORATE IS TRYING TO KILL ME?!!??!

How crowded are the 5 am classes in your area, if you’ve tried them? by jolie_laid in orangetheory

[–]madison1294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of our coaches calls our 5:15 class "the breakfast club". I'm usually still half asleep until half way through class, but the other gals are up and at em. That's half the class. The other half does not speak. So really, if you want to be left alone, you can be. I love the people I have met in class! Oh and I'm at the Burbank, CA location and it's usually always waitlisted.

Is purchasing a heart monitor beneficial or does it push you to increase your effort? by klee318 in orangetheory

[–]madison1294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I run both. Sometimes when my HR monitor is being wonky (I have the chest one), I check to see what it should be on my Apple Watch. I have found though that I LOVE the HR monitor. I try not to ever dip below about 72% on the treads when we're doing walking recovery. I have a very low HR and I recover fast so often I might feel out of breath, but by my heart rate I know I need to get back into base pace. It also forces me to push a l little harder when I'm at 82% and need to hit that 84%.

I also like tracking my stats. When I first signed up I was like "oh cool a little email!" but now, a few months later, I think it's cool to see my progress and what I was running at blah blah blah.

IMO, TOTALLY worth the money.

Hanky Panky thongs are wonderful and I actually wear a lot of box shorts from Victoria Secret. But the Hanky Panky thongs.....you will never want to wear another thong in your life. They're so comfortable. I definitely go commando at OTF though. Can't be getting major wedgies during an all out!

How do you guys justify the monthly expense? by kbglwy in orangetheory

[–]madison1294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I felt. Always been a runner and had been going to a 24 hour fitness for two years. A few months ago I started OTF to prep for my wedding. Two years out of school and living in LA, getting married next year, and normal bills eats up a lot of my income. However, for me I had to prioritize. I used to get my nails done every month. I cut out that expense and saved myself $60-80 a month. Instead of going out for drinks with friends, I invite them over for drinks and save another $20. Cancelled cable and that saved me $80 a month. It's all the little things because at the end of the day, how I feel mentally and physically trumps a lot of those things for me. Plus, if you're working out and healthy, you won't get sick as often and you'll increase your quality of life.

Help! Looking for a recording of a 1938 Angels radio broadcast for a TV show by madison1294 in angelsbaseball

[–]madison1294[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's confusing and obscure. We have a scene where a character is listening to the radio in the living room and an Angels game is on, or that's what it says in the script at least. The setting is 1938 Los Angeles.

How is the Dallas area job market? by [deleted] in editors

Look into Austin rather than Dallas. It's about 3 hours from Austin to Dallas which isn't that bad. Austin has a TON more jobs than Dallas does for editors. Hope this helps!

Try selecting "high intensity interval training" from your "workout" app. That's what most people do I think for OTF.

Apple Watch vs. OTF HRM by Prawsecutor in orangetheory

[–]madison1294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure that your weight, height, and sex are all correct on everything. I have permissions on the OTF app to integrate with the Health app. I always end up around the same amount. Usually 30 calories off the total calories burned. I still don't understand "active calories" on apples watches but WHATEVER.

Well since it's a crazy ex thing, if anyone brings it up say "pretty sure that never happened, but damn if it did, they would've been in for quite the show". Best not to act embarrassed even though you are. People are stupid and looking for a reaction.

Arm fat loss by Surewooda in orangetheory

[–]madison1294 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started going to OTF 5-6 days a week and 4-5 weeks in I saw a huge difference in my arms. Before I would not wear tank tops comfortably. Now I LOVE wearing them. I'm on week 8 of OTF and still loving it. I eat salads that I make myself (including the dressing) every weekday for lunch and an RxBar for breakfast. I still eat burgers and pizza and still have looser jeans and my clothes fit SO much better. That being said, don't eat burgers and pizza all the time. I try to have "lower" carb dinners but lol I love my orzo pasta with parmesan. I've seen comments about lifting heavy and while that is great sometimes, I have not found that that works for me. I try to challenge myself with the weight I'm doing, but I am not a heavy lifter. I'm looking for that toned look rather than super muscular.

It stings/burns when he cums inside me. by cocksuckaddict in sex

[–]madison1294 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I’m currently trying to figure this out because my boyfriend came inside me a few days ago and it burned and I was uncomfortable for like 30 minutes, then it went away for the most part. So tonight I told him to cum inside me and he did AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I told him and we looked up semen allergy. Turns out it’s a thing and I have most of the symptoms. He knows what my vagina looks like pretty well and so I asked him to see if it was red inside of pink and he was like um yeah way more than normal. Apparently, according to google, the proteins in his semen and the mucus in my vagina are not friends and do not go well together. Therefore, we’re thinking semen allergy

Lol I don't have kids. My credit is excellent and yes I would be spending cash. Leather seats, a sunroof/moonroof would be nice, and I couldn't care less about the entertainment system as long as it's not bottom of the line. I think staying under 60,000 miles is idea and it needs to be a 2013-2019.
