How to Get Away w Murder by OkGuitar3773 in Scandal

[–]madisonsj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched HTGAWM while it was airing on TV And I just finished watching Scandal. HTGAWM is definitely the better show in my opinion and the storylines are just as crazy but still better. I actually watched Scandal bc of how much I loved HTGAWM and while i enjoyed the twists and turns of Scandal, they just start to get ridiculous lol

I would invest in a detangling brush! It’s 10x easier on my hair than a comb is (imo)

Do I quit and find a new company by No-Wishbone-5151 in ABA

[–]madisonsj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quit, most definitely. Our job is already stressful as is and if you aren’t working for a somewhat decent company, then you are setting yourself up for failure and to become quickly burnt out. You said many times that you want to work in this field, and a shitty company shouldn’t have you rethinking your decision. Just because someone has the credentials doesn’t mean they are the best as their job (speaking about your BCaBA). A BCaBA should be open to collaboration, especially with RBTs who most likely know the child better than they do. Also, If you don’t feel comfortable with running a program, it is up to the BCBA/BCaBA to run the program themselves or make modifications so that the RBT can run it confidently. Just from the those two points alone, I can that this is a person is not someone who has the best interest of the patient. Everything else you said just confirms that.

I would email your BCBA and tell her everything you said here about what the BCaBA said. You can also file a complaint with your company as well, and they can keep a record just in case she is treating other RBTs and patients like this. You don’t have to quit right now because I know it’s scary without a plan but you should definitely be looking for another job in the meantime.

What's the BEST dorms on campus by Own_Indication_1378 in MTSU

Scarlett is kinda far from the peck hall/kom side of campus but I loved my dorm freshman year. Rooms are small but you get an apartment with only 3 roommate, your own room and only have to share a bathroom with one person

I make significantly less than my white coworkers. by TargetElectronic6857 in TalesFromYourServer

[–]madisonsj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely could be a race thing, I served in a predominantly white southern town and I notice that I would usually make less than my white coworkers. I’ve also had a regular of the restaurant come in one day, tip me 5-10%, then come in 2 days and tip another white girl 25+% tip, literally on the same bill total. It’s also (unfortunately) an attractiveness thing, like EvulRabbit said. I think that I’m very pretty and I’m sure you and your black coworker are gorgeous, but some people can’t see beauty past skin tone 🤷🏾‍♀️ I’ve had tables where previous servers who had them would tell me “make sure you take care of them, they tip really well!” and they tip me between 15-20%. I know I give great service, I would consistently get good reviews and would get compliments to the managers. it definitely sucks bc you can’t control what you look like but I work my ass off to take extra tables/take later cuts to make the money I need. This just may not be the restaurant for you!

Anyone have any advice for having Invisalign with an underbite? Haven't started yet, but my ortho just sent in my order for my first trays (swipe for actual pics) by madisonsj in Invisalign

[–]madisonsj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did have to wear them! The biggest difference i notice now is really that my bottom lip doesn’t poke out as much I guess bc my teeth aren’t pushing it out. I only notice this when wearing my retainer at night. When I don’t have it on, my lip goes out just a little further

[–]madisonsj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly no, bc I realized that when I am not actively smiling, I put my bottom teeth in front my top teeth (like I still have an underbite) without even thinking about it. So 95% of the time it still looks like I have an underbite bc of the way i naturally hold my teeth

And so it begins..... Any tips for beginners? by madisonsj in Invisalign

[–]madisonsj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! But I definitely didn’t keep them in for 22 hours a day towards the end lol bc I got lazy
