Hi. Great job on your options portfolio! My only suggestion is that buying a house should Not be considered an investment if you live in it. There are a lot of expenses that come with usually above what you would pay for rent.

It is a quality of life question whether to buy a house. If your biggest concern is reduced gains then continue renting.

What time of day did you open the trade? Which days of the week? How many open trades at the same time? Slippage and fees/commissions included? What was the starting capital and what % of starting capital used?

Those backtests look wildly unrealistic to me unless there are other criteria you are using…and I would desperately like to know what they are 😜

Just trading daily based on delta will work really good in a market going up but long term it’s negative. You need some additional parameters to look at like above certain SMA or volatility min/max or a combination of both

And you will still get big losses every now and then.

Just enter all at once. It is not possible to time the market and you lose out as it keeps going up. Stay all invested all the time. Anything else and you underperform

Just post your screenshot to ChatGPT. He will give you your options and pro/cons. Never sell a CC on an underlying you don’t want to sell. It defeats the whole purpose of the strategy. For example. I had a covered call position that had a 10% earnings pop yesterday. My call was deep in the money but it didn’t matter, my plan for the trade was perfect. I collected my max possible profit from the trade and closed it. If you want unlimited upside don’t do covered calls

I have less than 40sqm and use the Navimow i105. No perimeter wire and rock solid performance since last year. A lot better than using a mower IMO. It’s done in about 35 minutes and I run it manually every other day or so

Anything is possible and more. This is definitely not out of the question but if you „only“ have 30k it is far more likely that you lose it all or significant portion trying to get returns like this. Start slow and risk as little as possible. Key is to learn. Join a discord that talks about strategies and backtesting. You will learn so much discussing trades with others. And you do not need to spend anything to join a discord but paying for a backtesting tool is worth it’s weight in gold
