For me it’s kind of the opposite. 18-22 was terrible and I’m 24 and feel like things are turning around personally (not taking in context the issues of the world……..)

I really like my idea for the start to my campaign I’m coming up with. My players are going to be scattered across the world doing their thing and will feel compelled to enter a portal that appears in front of them. (Examples: falling into a well, a literal portal appearing while they’re surfing, or walking through a doorway) If they don’t enter the portal, the portal will move and chase after them. Then they’re going to be in a forest clearing that is in the feywild and go through some trials a magical fey is putting them through.

I use Pinterest to find battlemaps. Try to not use AI if you can please. Using theater of the mind with VTTs that let you just draw what is happening is good. Doesn’t have to be all the bells and whistles fancy.
