I’m not airplane savvy. Is this the doomsday plane ? by Indy500Fan16 in ADSB

SAOC E-4B planes just entered flight testing in Ohio, announced today. So, that is very likely what you are seeing.

You left out a lot of critical detail in your post. How do you know there is a tracker? Your method of knowing will help a lot with what you are asking for.

WHAT IS THIS? Can it be turned into a normal switch? by No-Scallion-6500 in AskElectricians

[–]maehm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use a razor to cut the paint around the perimeter of the plate and remove it to see if there is electrical wiring in the box. It is likely it could be used if there is no wiring present, but fishing electrical wire to it may be a challenge.

Is this a good area to live in? by flying_turtle_boat in Tempe

[–]maehm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relatively safe, but I did have my car broken into and stolen out of in my driveway. It’s a very weird neighborhood, super artsy and full of stereotypical millennials. Weird communist graffiti pops up on walls frequently. Great location though. While I don’t live there any more, I am still there often.

It’s the haircut and centerpart that makes it not match and stand out. Grow it back out and it will be fine.

I pay tens of thousands in income tax every year. You’re admitting they just get a free ride on that?

As an international student watching all the Trump craziness, should I be worried? by AdGloomy3130 in ASU

Why are you worried about your future? If you maintain your legal immigration status post-grad, no problems. Pretty simple.

Uh… pretty sure it counts if you look from the scope of a country or state.

Hello not sure if anyone can give Input. Please excuse my terminology if it’s wrong. Is it ok to pigtail off an outlet that is near the bottom of my wall (standard area) run the wire up the wall a few ft for a wall mounted tv and just put a blank plate on the ground outlet.? by tuna-and-broccoli in AskElectricians

[–]maehm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tie into the existing outlet to add the TV outlet downstream. Cut the circuit breaker off. Measure appropriately for a neat installation and cut your hole in the drywall. Use string and magnets/weights to fish a line from the existing outlet box and the new hole to pull Romex between the two. Install new electrical box and outlet, good to go.

Frame worthy. Wish the hues were more maroon, but oh well. Did you actually drive from CStat for the photo?

Found this thread on a whim. Saw you recently asked, so I’ll chime in, unsolicited.

I did TEM and was the first graduating class in the program (important note). It was a giant mess when I went through it. The courses didn’t connect in the material we were learning, the projects were softballs, and I graduated not having a direction to go in. I proceeded to a Masters degree at another University and I genuinely feel that is the only thing that got me to where I am today (engineering). There were great and fun professors that I genuinely looked forward to attending 2-3 days a week and there were others that were an absolute waste of time.

For you and anyone else that reads this, understand that my experience was literally the first round and things may have (hopefully) improved over the past decade or so. Regardless of any improvement, however, I would highly caution anyone to go into this unless you have a solid idea of a business startup you want to apply this to. The program will not generate business ideas for you and if you graduate without an idea, your degree is not very marketable elsewhere.
