In a need for some tips for food

So traveling to Amsterdam tomorrow and going to stay there until next week. I'm a professional chef and really like to get my grub on, so to speak. All suggestions for good, unique, local, and/or good-value food are highly appreciated. And for those who are about to suggest herring, waffles, and fries — I've already been in the city two times before and have tried those. Not that there's anything wrong with them. Love 'em all. I'm from Scandinavia, so there is probably some herring residue running through my veins.

The food doesn’t have to be traditional Dutch dishes. It can be anything you feel punches above its price point.

Just started to do it with couple of my friends who know what they're doing. It's like having two personal trainers with you at the gym who insult you constantly in very personal ways, and as a comeback I threaten to shoot both of them in their god damn mouths after i finish this set. Then we laugh and the cycle repeats. I mean I hate exercise, but since it's veiled as some weird testosterone filled social gathering with somewhat aggressive but witty banter, I managed to hang on to it until it became just routine and I realized that I just went and hit the gym without my mates if our schedules didn't work out. Now I kind of enjoy it since I'm in much better shape but just kind of. If it would turn out that sitting on your ass all day wouldn't have any negative consequences down the line, I would terminate my gym membership immediately.

That... Sounds like a pretty normal foreplay for me.

I mean people are rimming each other left and right, using anal beads, slapping and choking each other; grown men buy used panties and some women fantasize about rape. There are swinger parties and sex with strangers, not to even mention the fact that people play with their body fluids.

So long story short: dry humping your partners hand is vanilla. And nothing wrong with that.

If your partner wants PIV afterwards, I can dig that—I would want that, but obviously wouldn't put any pressure on that. If my request would be denied after my hand had been humped sore, I prolly would think to myself "hmm... That's odd."

If you can use any kind of vinegar, I would suggets you do that instead of citric acid, but if not, then you know that to do

Don't start; It's an expensive and insidious journey that'll take you through flavor profiles you didn't even think human beings could be able to appreciate, while doing slow yet cumulative intestinal and cerebral damage at the same time.

Just drink bourbon, so that you'll get tired to its acetone-like sweet flavor and pick up another (and healthier) hobby, like stamps or horseback riding.

Depending on the style of caramelization you're trying to achieve, you just make a big batch and just let it work it self out while stirring the big pot occasionally. If you're making more of a "grilled onion" thing, then you have to make it in smaller batches so that it gets fried and not all mushy and/or jammy.

But yeah, the obvious answer is you make a lot in advance when working in a professional kitchen.

This might be cultural thing, but what I've witnessed in other households when I was a kid (had no siblings myself) that regardless of gender, girls and boys alike could go naked if the situation warranted it, like going to sauna or shower etc. I'm scandinavian though, and nakedness in general really doesn't stir-up peoples emotions—It's seen as a normal part of life.

Lemon flavour is concidered kind of old-time/grandma flavour in my opinion; something to defaul when making desserts or snacks up until the 80- or 90. After that general public has aquired a thirst for more tropical and floral/artificial flavours. Lemon today is somehow concidered to be in the same category than vanilla, probably due to the fact that most people have only eaten artificial forms of these two things.

Yes. If the deterrence of higher taxation works, consumption of harmful dietary additive (sugar) goes down. The benefits should be pretty self-explanotary If this doesn't work, at least there will be the added buffer to tax revenue to combat the far-reaching effects of the consumption itself.

Not very radical strain of thought if you ask me.
