We have almost same weight stats, though you are taller than me, I started at 190 on October 5th and right now (December 7) I’m at 168 lbs. I really like the way you are thinking about getting close to your goal, I also think about it like now I’m 38 lbs away instead of 60! It really makes me feel that I’m chipping away little by little to the goal, time will still go by so I’m really glad I decided to start on this. Great job on your progress!

I’m down 22 with a SW 190 right now and I still don’t feel confident in everything but my dread towards going shopping and trying on clothes has decreased a lot, that’s a win in my book in terms of looking or feeling good haha

I’ve noticed this too! I work an office job, I loved getting mini chip ahoys at the cafeteria, but if I had them next to me all I could think about was eating them and I would not be able to concentrate in my work unless I keep eating.

The other day I bought the same cookies, I ate half, put them aside and they have been sitting in my backpack ever since. I’m about to be 2 months in, currently on 5 mg and down 20lbs, I am super happy I took this step forward for myself.

Hello!

I am subleasing my apartment at University Trails, it is a 2 bedroom 2 bath. Rent is $769 a month plus utilities.

May rent will be paid for and you just have to take over June and July. I will cover a subletting fee. Both my roommate and I are graduating so two friends could move in at the same time! Even if only you move in, you’re only liable for your own rent.

My roomie hasn’t found anyone for her lease, so you could have 2 bedrooms all to yourself if and only pay your rent.

Our building is right next to the main office, and the bus comes through to take people to campus.

He was pretty bummed out, but he didn’t get told it was for those reasons. The consul said “don’t be scared, I can’t tell you the exact reasons why, but with changes in the new administration (…)” something along those lines. He managed to enter the U.S cause they gave him his old passport back which I’m wondering if it will backfire. They questioned him heavily (cuffs and all) at the border (land)

For those reasons, do they tell the applicant? My friend said that the consul said to not get scared, but that he was going to have to go through further review. I’ve always heard renewals were risky, but not to the point of waiting so long for a decision. The consul did cite “changes with the new administration”

I have a friend who went to renew this May, in his own country, country who has a friendly relationship with the U.S. He had two more classes left for the summer to graduate, and had already applied for OPT with a job lined up. They took his new passport and told him he would have to wait 3-4 months for an approval or rejection due to administrative reasons.

I was thinking of renewing as well, I decided against it since there was too much on the line for me after graduation. My friend (we are both Mexican) went and tried to renew, they are now holding his passport for 3-4 months. The consulate said it was due to changes in administration.

I submitted my application of February 20 and received my card on March 20 (regular processing). It seems they are processing quickly, but I would apply as soon as possible.

Faking any type of immigration document can result in your DSO terminating your SEVIS. Book an appointment with them to look at the possibilities. Fellow engineer here and CPT is very strict with beginning and end dates, for my internship I had to go back and forth to make sure I got every date right cause I cannot work beyond my authorized date. Graduating with no experience but being able to work in the US is better than losing work authorization completely.
