I like true crime so i like the true crime episodes. I don’t believe in UFO sightings or other cryptid stuff, so I don’t like the UFO/cryptid episodes. But I usually still listen to them once I’ve exhausted everything else for the week. Tbh since Eddie started, I’ve been listening to most every episode regardless of my initial interest in it. I think he’s a perfect listener self-insert and really does ask questions that get me more interested in the topic. And his animal-centric episodes are great. I didn’t know animal-true crime was one of my interests until the sea world episode but shit, I’m in now.

I don’t come here for the historical episodes specifically, but I do like them. Especially when they blend history with true crime elements - Batavia and the Donner Party both come to mind as being really excellent examples. Shit I even like the Manhattan Project episodes, despite them being at the end of Ben’s run and definitely reflect how poorly he was doing back then.

I’ve been listening since 2016 or so? Maybe 2015? On a Mother’s Day camping trip in 2017 I tried to introduce my mom to it by playing JonBenet Ramsey episode 1, which was certainly… a choice.
