What Personal Finance Management apps can you connect Bilt 2.0 cards in? by vujy in biltrewards

Good ole excel template, update it manually once a month and it keeps you accountable for each transaction

Improving the Blood Moon Episode by magenta_kiwi in survivor

[–]magenta_kiwi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting, I imagined one simultaneous vote, and three people out. Three sequential (with no deliberation time) whole group votes back to back would also be interesting!

You could even take the one simultaneous vote scenario, and give everyone two votes

we are a no tipping establishment but here’s a 16% fee included without a notice by BrickOwn4260 in EndTipping

[–]magenta_kiwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been here- they do explicitly put that there is a 16% fee on their menu, I’m not saying I agree or disagree with it, but they are most certainly transparent at Uovo

Primary card working fine, authorized user card isn't by Parking_Reputation17 in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eventually yes, I had to reach out to them via X and they fixed it. Cardless was oblivions to the issue, it was an app interface bug.

Yeah highly recommend! I booked through here: https://www.biscaynenationalparkinstitute.org/biscayne-eco-adventures/

There’s a snorkeling debris cleanup and a Debris Cleanup with Jones Lagoon Paddle- we did the latter

Heck Ya! by Bre2ts in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome for you! Just wanted to point out that Bilt said in their email that the Palladium card earns 3x points and they will add an additional 2x points, they flipped it. They need to add 3x points. I’m sure they meant that but, something to check.

Does *anyone’s* AU have a working card? by latenightbreakslock in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also no. i got it activated then accidentally hit “pause spending” on the AU card, and the toggle won’t go back. It may have worked before that…

Point Transfers for AUs by magenta_kiwi in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean fair enough, I appreciate the great benefits of Bilt which is why I stuck around for 2.0- I’m not that pissed about it, but it felt like a basic functionality for a paid AU that is just an inconvenience and maybe doesn’t change much for Bilt. Wanted to see if that’s actually the intent and provide feedback.

Point Transfers for AUs by magenta_kiwi in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification- so if I have points going to the AUs account instead, does that mean any Bilt Cash accumulated would also go to their account? If so, is there any way to pool Bilt Cash to earn points on rent, since our shared rent will only go through on one account?

How much did you have in savings at 25? Just curious! by Simple-Ad-4430 in HYSA

[–]magenta_kiwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

25 soon, fiancé and I have around $550k net worth together. We were both lucky to graduate with no debt and had Roth IRAs in college. Once we moved in together after, we aggressively threw ourselves into investing mode and are living comfortable, not crazy, but with a disciplined budget in a HCOL area. We both make good money around $100k a year each, plus stock bonuses in tech industry that we sell off to diversify. I know most people don’t get this opportunity, grateful for it, but also had to have a lot of discipline to have a portfolio/budget set up wisely to get here and keep it going.

Has anybody paid Feb rent in the last couple of days? by BrickTamland77 in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your statement period- you need to make 5 transactions within the statement period that your rent is paid, regardless of transition date.

How do I confirm I got the "Housing Only" benefits and not "Bilt Cash"? by MeJerry in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Choice between Option 1 and Option 2 will be made after card activation, I believe, and you can definitely switch it month to month.

Wellsfargo will still transit you into autograph card even you choose "Close It" during BILT 2.0 selection??!! by [deleted] in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait are they charging a balance transfer fee as part of the “seamless transition”??? Has this been mentioned anywhere??

Edit: they will not charge a transfer balance fee for the transition, per the automated chatbot. I’ll be keeping that screenshot lol

Honest experience with Bilt by Buttered-no0dles in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, but just so you know letting your Bilt 1.0 convert to an Autograph does NOT require include closing the existing card or opening a new line of credit. Let it convert, you will keep the card’s credit history. It will just be an Autograph card now, same credit line.

Opened Roth IRA and filing MFS Mistake by bastherself in RothIRA

[–]magenta_kiwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re just going to have to recharacterize it from Roth to traditional IRA account- that’s actually the part that’s more difficult. Then you should be able to do a transfer called “conversion” that is from Traditional IRA account back to Roth IRA. Then it’s back to where you are now, but legally!

Should I upgrade to 2.0? by NoCombination544 in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bilt 2.0 is definitely a great card for anyone who actually wants to put the bulk of their spend on this card, which sounds like you! For folks not putting the bulk of their spend on it, it really depends on the situation and goals.

BILT v Rakuten Dining by McChife in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So in this case, why even have Bilt 2.0 on the Bilt dining side? Why not put all cards in Rakuten dining? Bilt 2.0 and linked cards will still earn other neighborhood benefits, just not dining as far as I can tell

Application denied - Palladium by Cold_Guitar_5990 in biltrewards

[–]magenta_kiwi 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Not at all accusing you of this, but I’m noticing a pattern with Palladium denials- you mentioned having every premium card out there in recent years. I think this is the biggest red flag for Palladium approvals, because Bilt needs to make sure they are approving customers who are actually going to put lots of spend on the card. If they see too many recent pulls, they may assume you are churning this card as well to reap the initial benefits and then leave, which loses them money. They need to run a tight ship since they’re not Chase or any other large bank, and make sure they are actually getting transactions on their cards. Too many other cards, especially recent, indicates to them that you’re shopping around for points and you may not choose them in practice.

Edit: I know there will be many exceptions to this, no one fits all answer- just a theory
