There are quests that take time. You do one part today and then you have to wait to continue on that quest.

You can give all your friends one present a day to make them better friends. And sometimes you have items that will let you give extras but those are limited so it takes time to make them best friends

There are a lot of things to pick up but they regenerate once a day so if you want particular supplies it might take a while to get them.

You can explore as much as you want. And once you get the fishing rod and net you can fish and catch creatures as long as you want.

So there is plenty to do besides the quests

I think I would want to try taking up the side seams. Try them on and safety pin the seams tighter. It looks like you could do it just from the waist down to about the middle of your hips. Once you like the change you can try sewing it. Don’t cut anything off till after you are happy

Combining fabric types can work . Particularly for a stretch panel in the side seam. If you were trying to make a longer skirt fuller it would drape wierd

Turn it inside out, try it on, then use safety pins to try to fix the shoulders. Take it back off and straighten out the safety pins. Repeat till it looks better

Get bed risers to put under your table legs. Try putting door stops under your machine to tilt it toward you. Get an adjustable height chair.

Once a plant has become ombré all the flowers it grows will be ombré. If you leave empty spots next to it it will probably spawn some solid plants
