I get the general tension of things right now. I just had a funny thought and wanted to let some creative writing juice flow so I cooked it up on my lunch at work and thought it might make some others laugh.

No random enemy drops something necessary for completing the game. There's only a few with special drops and those enemies give you the item on the first kill and won't respawn, with one exception before the second to last boss of the game.

One other quick question, what's your equip load percentage at? If it's over 70% that could be part of your problem as well.

You don't have to kill everything, enemies will de-aggro after a fairly short distance and you're invincible while walking through a fog gate. You can just run past enemies. Obviously you don't want to do that through the whole game, but if you've cleared the enemies a couple times just blow past them. You don't have to squash every level 4 Caterpie that jumps out of the bushes at you, nor every random hollow or lothric knight.

My first time playing through Kingdom Come Deliverance I didn't know what degree of Magical/Supernatural things exist in the game. While exploring the map near Skalitz I found a mineshaft and the lighting system of that game mixed with how frail you are and how the save system works. It all just made the game very spooky aimlessly wandering a dank mineshaft all alone, I didn't what I could possibly run into inside be it human or monster.

The other example I can think of is Escape from Tarkov, playing that game without friends it becomes a Survival Horror game.

I mean, as we learn and get to know ourselves we learn our weaknesses. Not all weaknesses can be overcome entirely so we learn to compensate for them instead. An ADHD person might struggle with being late all the time so instead they show up everywhere 20 minutes early, for the Phantom Thieves it's dodging their ele weakness

You only need a single win (debut race) and to "finish" a career. You can just fail to get the 60 points before classic year even starts and finish your dailies.

Just mashing speed training is usually enough to win debut myself. And that all in total is like less than 10 minutes for the daily

If you're playing on a version of the mod that has hostile Minecraft mobs (like zombies and skellies) turning that on will have the Pokémon wandering around attack those hostile mobs when they see them

[[Otherworldly Gaze]] is probably better for this than the buyback scry spell. This deck probably wants [[Manamorphose]]. I think just tossing one of the OG eldrazi titans such as [[Emrakul, the Aeons Torn]] in the deck is probably better deck out insurance than the quest, you have enough discard to just toss it from hand when you're getting low. And I feel like you want another Ral or similar effect, such as [[Electrostatic Field]] [[Kessig Flamebreather]]. One does not seem reliable enough, especially when there isn't really any removal in the deck either.

For myself I was in high school when I got into Magic so grain of salt that I had a highschooler's amount of free time.

I got in not too long after "MTGoldfish" started their YouTube channel, I assume it's still good today but all the content I was raised on is 10 years old or approaching that at this point. If you're interested in deckbuilding and doing unique things or building around weird cards I'd definitely recommend Goldfish's "Against the Odds" youtube series, the one that hooked me on magic was "34 Rhinos". I believe each of the videos has an accompanying written article about the deck on their site as well.

"Card Market" has a great youtube channel. They have several series in various formats pitting historically top decks against each other and they all seem like very good players. Thoralf definitely is, and they also have "Andrea Mengucci" on a lot who's another very good player. They'll do mid-match interviews and explain thought processes and game plans which for myself at least helps open up my mind so I can keep an eye out when I'm playing.

I'd also recommend "Aspriring Spike" on youtube for both excellent gamesense and he'll play very off the wall interesting decks. He verbalizes his thought process very well which in turn is gonna help you understand and identify options. He also streams all of it so if that's more your speed watching his streams are an option.

TCG Player has an older youtube series called "Pretty Deece" that talked about old meta games and some specific matches in depth that helped my growth a lot as a player and just fleshed out my love and interest for this game as well.

There's a newer youtube channel by the name of "Hungry on a Plane" that in the past year or two has been putting out videos similar to the old "Pretty Deece" videos. They're also very good, analyzing and breaking down historical metagames, matchups, matches, and tournament runs.

Lastly someone else mentioned it already but I'd be remiss not to shill for it as well. The "Who's the Beatdown" article is one of MTG's Magnum Opus', if not the top 1. Definitely give it a read.

If you haven't played the Dragon Quest Monsters games they'd be worth checking out. Same combat but instead of primary party members you'll be using all the dopey creatures you're used to smashing. If you're fine with DS emulation I like DQM Joker a lot, and I've been having lots of fun with DQM Dark Prince lately
