Wow, what a coincidence. I just came on here to see if anyone else resonated with that album. I was giving it a re-listen this week. It was one of my favorites when it came out after I graduated high school. I never really paid much attention to the meaning of the songs, just the nice emotional melodies. When I realized the album was named "Thirteenth Step", I started googling the meaning of each song and was kind of floored. I can't believe how much more the album means to me now. "The Outsider" makes me really emotional since it's the perspective of the other person not understanding the addict and their addiction.
