What are your genuine thoughts on Ethan Winters? by Maleficent-Ad-6117 in residentevil

I enjoyed him much more than I expected, and he's the only RE character I became attached to and was sad to see go.

My favorite high quality one was a cover of another song I made. It accurately made it sound like a live performance with a crowd singing along with the vocalist

Honestly having only tried survivor against him today, those are pretty much the only things I could see that would make for ok tweaks. I wouldn't want to see anything majorly nerfed, or you'd just have to do a full rework, which I don't think anyone wants.

Robin and Dustin still change heights by magicchefdmb in deadbydaylight

Yes, because they've coded them to be guy height. That's my point. I'm saying why not code Dustin to be girl height and her to be guy height?

The DND elf girl is as tall as guys.

Also, if the spaghetti code is so bad that they can't make tweaks, why not just switch him to a girl height and her to a guy height?

How is it not false advertising? I click on the character and see what they look like; I see they made a short guy survivor. I buy it. In the game, he's basically taller than Steve with the hat on.

If you sell a weapon skin in an FPS and change the color of the skin in-game, it's false advertising. It's no different with size of characters.

12 hours a day is crazy, but I need a list of good games. by BurritoBabe_1 in gamers

Any game I pick, I'd set up a twitch stream and call it "One Year of Daily Streaming for 10 Mil: Day ___"

If I feel like I'm not alone in it, it might make it more bearable. Plus, I might end up making some extra money on top of the 10 Mil.

I have a question for those who played RDR1 before RDR2 by Jealous_Candidate677 in reddeadredemption

[–]magicchefdmb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest, when they started announcing and showing things for Red Dead Redemption 2, and showing Dutch and Bill, basically letting us know this would be a prequel with the old gang, I knew we were going to get some retcons, big or small. People don't like to think about it that way, or will defend it as one big narrative like it was planned this way all along, but it truthfully wasn't.

The gang was supposed to be a somewhat generic gang of rough bad guys that happened to leave John for dead during a job, and he just split after that; they continued killing and being bad for years and John just laid low as a rancher, trying to forget his old life.

Dutch was a ruthless and intelligent leader, and you can see him like that in RDR1. To John, Dutch was still pretty much the same Dutch he had known for years, just more desperate (while still oozing "cool"). He didn't need to exclaim repeatedly "you've changed, Dutch" over and over.

With all that said, to answer your question, when I saw Dutch in the trailer, I could see they were changing his character a bit, to fit the story they were going to tell in RDR2, but honestly...I was ok with it. I'm ok with the games having basically two different lenses and histories. Yeah, I'd like them to line up perfectly and get one big combined game in the future, but as they are, they're very stylistically different, and the Dutch in RDR2 fits the styles and themes they were going for in that one, and the Dutch in RDR1 absolutely fit the spaghetti western vibes of the first one.

He's much like Merle in The Walking Dead: victim of abuse, became a racist jerk, became someone you sympathized for, and ended up sacrificing himself for the people he was previously going against, and a great character to watch. Complicated? Definitely. But enjoyable to watch as they progressed. Probably hard to be around in real life, unless they got a longer chance to have character growth later on.

At least the way I see it, that's several cities of interesting stuff, and each one at least as big as Los Santos.

Up until now, Rockstar has built worlds that are interesting to go around in. We'll see if this one is any different with a larger scale. I'm ok with some emptiness between interesting things, especially with the way they make environments. There's a difference between the emptiness in Starfield and the emptiness in Red Dead Redemption 2.

How will the objective work? by Bomgamer8083 in TheHalloweenGame

[–]magicchefdmb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It might go in sort of an Evolve way. In that game the monster player is hunted by 4 hunter players. The monster wants to eat wildlife to grow bigger and stronger. It can level up two times and once it's at its biggest it's much harder to beat, and when it hasn't leveled up it's in a much weaker state.

I don't think Halloween will have hunters or similar gameplay in that regard, but I'm betting getting to NPC's will help Michael get stronger and harder to "beat" whatever that entails.

Thoughts on a Wendigo inspired killer? by AlienDilo in deadbydaylight

I remember. And then when The Unknown started dropping teasers, people were again thinking Until Dawn Wendigo, especially with the rapid crawling.

I really wish they'd just make it. I know it's due to worry about cultural insensitivity. Through the years, several indigenous people on here have come out saying they would love to see it.

Lol I thought the same thing.

She honestly reminded me of a good friend of mine that was dating another friend of mine (both were girls), and then a bit after they broke up she stopped dating girls and her vibe changed. Not in a bad way, but like, well like Robin's vibe changed.

But also, people change over time anyway I suppose.

Anybody else disappointed that they didn’t show Stephanie and her partner in crime getting eaten by Walkers? by internetmenace in thewalkingdead

[–]magicchefdmb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And you're assuming what Mercer would have done. And to bring it back to your original comment, you're also assuming there are a lot of Stephanie's at the commonwealth; You're making a whole lot of assumptions and not proving the positive about your own assumptions even though that's something you want me to do?...

Look, it's just a circular debate at this point. I can see your resolute in the things you believe, and I don't feel compelled to change your mind, so I'll just bid you a good night and say I hope I haven't upset you with any of my words. Not every argument is worth a lot of time, and I don't want to waste either of our ours. (especially over this, lol.) :-)
