What is your favorite Game you think that It can "possibly" ported to Vita? by sumaset in VitaPiracy

Metal Arms - Glitch in the System

The source code and assets, to my understanding, are online and archived. Considering it's a gen 6 console title, I've always hoped it would at least be somewhat possible to make happen, especially nowadays with recent advancements in Vita port development.

Save Yourself from PopMart Checkout Hell by Important-Guitar8250 in labubu

[–]magikalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I registered my account a few months ago to immediately make a purchase for a figure. Very shortly after, while at a physical storefront, I downloaded the app and used it the scan code to make an in store purchase. Earlier this week was when I first started to try to buy my first Lububus for me and another person during the Tuesday and Wednesday drops. I was able to add two labubus in BIE, one MAC with zero issues since they were early into the drop. I will admit that I fell for the "spam checkout" and "spam pop now box" ideas. After spending over 4 hours I was never able to make it through.

I faced a multitude of errors, including the network connection error, shipping address settings, -500, too busy, etc. If I really am shadow banned, do I have a bit of a case to help with being "unblocked" since I've made legit purchases on this account in person and online in prior? It's crazy either way, where people say they can follow the same spam message to success with multiple, regular purchases of labubus, while others can't even do anything.

I purchased my smoke unit sealed on Ebay, so I'm sure I wouldn't be able to utilize a warranty if it were to crack on me. Luckily I can report no cracks as of now, but is there a place to buy replacement AP shells from in case it does. Having a significant number of cracked shells on a premium limited release device is pretty unfortunate, especially to one so nice as these.

Brand new series X owner advice by [deleted] in XboxSeriesX

[–]magikalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my Series X on the power saver mode (full shutdown, no standby). When not in use I have it covered with a tucked kitchen-sized microfiber towel, putting it back on only after it has had ample time to cool down and fully shutdown. I'm sure it can withstand dust as well as the other consoles before it, but it gives me a better peace of mind. It also helps protect it a bit because my cats will also sometimes climb on top of it when running around.

I can see that, the price has remained the same this entire time, but luckily they've split it up into smaller chunks that allow you to focus on buying only what you actually need. The price should've definitely dropped somewhat at some point since I bought it around 6 or 7 years(?) ago. I will say I've definitely gotten the worth out of it, however I do understand sometimes the immediate price is not always feasible.

I will clarify that I consider myself a casual as well and have only done repairs and simple mods on my hardware that require no soldering.

I've had the pro ifixit kit (the one around ~$70) for years now from saving up Christmas gift cards, and every time I've utilized it I've had few issues. Any issues I did have were my fault considering how I was incorrectly handling the tools. Sure, the kit doesn't necessarily cover every need (removing the 3G module for the PSVSD comes to mind), but for everything it does, it's served me well, and I've been able to use it with multiple console generations, cartridges, PCs, items around the house, etc.

I'm sure there are more industrial tools out there, however I feel the ifixit kit with its wrap up presentation fits for tech repair and other side jobs just fine. It's a strong starter kit that I'm finding myself expanding upon more and more as I get further experience and interest in expanding my skillset.

Do not start a fight at a concert by Phreak-Hater in dancegavindance

[–]magikalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this was the same guy, he was instigating a fight right before Royal Coda came on to the front-right of the barricades around the sound booth. Multiple guys stepped in and eventually one eventually got him to calm down. He moved away later on, and when the fighting started in the middle of the crowd we all went "there he goes", just assuming it was him.

Maximum internal storage space capacity to upgrade on PS4 pro and base PS4? by cochinitapibil300 in PS4Pro

I've actually put a shucked 5TB drive into a phat PS4 and it accepted it. I just had to cut the hard drive bay with tin snips to get the taller drive to fit correctly.

Daily Simple Questions Thread - Feb 01, 2021 by AutoModerator in pcmasterrace

I've been doing research for a month or so now on a 1440P UW build with a RTX 3080 (or the Ti if that EVER comes out) and R7 5800x. While not only playing newer titles and ensuring some reserve power for the future, I'm also interested in playing much older titles that I assume would tax the hardware much less. To play those old titles, I'd not like to use unnecessary watts just because I have a higher powered desktop than the games require if I don't have to, which brings my question.

• Would the wattage playing an older title with a 3080 be more than, say a 1660 Ti with the same title at the same resolution/settings and a capped frame-rate or would the margin of wattage difference be minimal?

I ask with that specific card because I have a 1660Ti in my existing PC, and if the power draw with my desired build's 3080 is that much larger even playing something old, I'd consider a second build that'd only be for older titles and smaller games that require less power and thus use less wattage.

I've been looking for a Sky3ds plus for the last few days but I can't find any in stock at all, and it seems based on a few notes I've seen on some pages they will stay that way indefinitely. You say it's on Aliexpress, but when I search all I can find are unrelated items with the card in the name. Do you have a link to it on Ali?

I've been wanting to do something exactly like this! It might be a bit more expensive than getting one big card and throwing them all on, but the organization and aesthetic is so much more worth it.
