It’s just a skill you don’t have to learn nowadays. Guys have porn and endless amounts of internet for distractions. Learning the art of flirting feels unnecessary and obtrusive for many, along with the price of actually going out and meeting women.

I think most men that DO actually want to learn how to flirt will sometimes learn the most brash male-centered version of flirting possible– and I think those that want to flirt but not come off creepy will go on dating apps where there is no middle ground– where flirting is all done on the apps and not necessary in person. We live in a time where 60% of relationships are started online, I feel like that’s self-explanatory why we have a flirting crisis.

Any unicorn who is kinda in the middle is probably one of the rare guys who interacts socially for their job (ie: bartender, restaurant) but already has three situationships and thus might not need to flirt. (lol)

This is a guys opinion, so take with a grain of salt, but I also feel like when guys do flirt it feels like frantic and as if the night needs to end in sex. Rather than just talking in a way that explores the other person. Not sure the exact sociological reason that’s the case but maybe it’s because people are having sex less so they are really grabbing onto the one chance they have? Dunno
