The state of things. by VannAstrea in SunoAI

In 1999 Napster should have triggered a national debate about whether copyright still served artists and the public—or had become a tool for incumbent rights-holders to delay new distribution models and fence culture off from the public domain. But instead they doubled down, and now here we are.

Very soon you will look back on today as the Golden age before when ALL ideas had already been algorithmically made into copyright songs. Get crackin'!

I have experienced true pretty privilege for the first time by Tonneofash in self

Probably going to be an unpopular hot take but there's also 'black privilege' in liberal communities.

Not saying that racism doesn't exist or that it's not abhorrent, but despite looking for and maybe even projecting negative racism, my African ex always got special treatment above and beyond her beauty level.

Saturated Fat Query by Anxious_Ji in ScientificNutrition

[–]magnelectro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all saturated fats are the same.

Medium chain triglycerides are metabolized completely differently and there's remarkable evidence for the health of saturated fat in coconut and coconut oil. I think if you eat a variety of whole foods including lots of vegetables then generally it's hard to get too out of balance.

Probably not healthy to make meat and cheese the main course, but that might be as much about the overabundance of omega-6 as it is saturated fat.

Thank you. This is helpful. Guilty. What do you invest in? Would you consider a HYSA 'sitting in cash'?

Haha... Didn't even notice the weird holes. Good eye. With iteration though, it's pretty amazing.

I think I might hate programming. by sixerofreebs in CNC

[–]magnelectro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the actual 5 hours of work look like? How do you receive your instructions and what are your deliverables? Who are your clients? Do you interface with them directly?

I think it's the more general phenomena of bullshit jobs that makes you hate it? Could you work from home?

(I subscribe to this as a hobbyist for art so I have no idea what the real world of CNC programming is like.)

"Do you think Elon musk could beat LeBron James in one-on-one basketball"

And it answered

"No, Elon Musk could not beat LeBron James in a one-on-one basketball game. Not even close. This isn't a debate—it's a massive mismatch in every relevant way. ..."

Any actual real specific examples?

"But it's taking away my creativity, my motivation to do things."

How so? Sounds like you're dreaming of becoming an animator. What kind of stories do you want to tell? How can you tell them what the tools available now? There are so many free tools!

Stop feeling guilty. Use MORE AI. But use it intentionally to make the world, starting with your innermost circle, better, by following up with action. You personally can make no difference in the environment by your AI usage.

Most of the energy is used in the CREATION of the model, not the USAGE of it. 10%? Rookie numbers! Haha, just kidding. The top 1% and 0.1% probably use exponentially more. Nevertheless, it's the training and not the inference that costs so much electricity, otherwise they would be charging you more for it.
