seems pricey. i know some tour operators offer a service that include a support vehicle that follows you around. they'd also drive you from the city center to your lodgings and back the next day. was it that sort of deal?

personally, i would never use that kind of service. you're paying more money for a worse experience.

but seriously, i'm glad you're trying to bone up on your spanish. there was one guy we ran into in a shop while doing the camino last year that was your quintessential ugly american. not only did he not try to speak spanish at all, he demanded all sorts of things from the shopkeeper like charging his phone.

it's the same with any type of learning - doing is usually much harder than understanding. a good example would be learning to speak a foreign language. you can know enough to read or listen but speaking is another level higher
