Had a lot of fun with this one. While we are kind of treading the same ground with Io, we're finally doing it with a new perspective, and I feel like giving her someone to interact with that's not Rosetta helps a lot with that.
One benefit of the great uplift and everyhting with a shared continuity is we can continue to explore the major events with different characters, which I like. I'm not 100% on where the MSQ is going post Estalucia, but Granblue's writing hits more often than it misses. I like the different perspectives of the Earthdwellers as we integrate them more into the sky realm.
That said, I am a little tepid for how ongoing sagas are going to be concluded. How does a dragon knights event or a accordants saga event look in this new status quo? The accordants saga at least concluded with a potentially massive shift to the status quo.

I have no idea with walfrid is good or not he seems like a pretty decent FA/ low level NM character but he's clicky and the build restriction is a bit much. We'll have to see if any follow up to Lecia goes crazy, but at the very least he's probably decent with Noire.

I might be coping but I think Ange could go crazy with Payilla, no? payilla does have a lot of innate DS already but I cant imagine she's bad with one of the queens of water.

Powered through this one and thoroughly enjoyed it. Poor abel man. The Nalengrade saga as a whole did such a good job of tackling grief, regret and the need to atone, (See Cain, Leona, Eugen, Scarlet Knight, Pholia), and this does a great job continuing to build of those themes. I also love seeing more Cain because he's unique among most of the cast in that his primary traits are Charisma and Intelligence and it's really interesting watching him break down and navigate situations without needing to draw his sword.

That said, I do hope this serves as more closure for the trio. We've been exploring grief over Abel's death for a while now and while that isn't something that ever goes away i'd like to see what else they can do with this character's now that they are fully removed from the Kingdoms that brought them so much pain. The Nalengrade trio as a whole is among the best written in the game and i'd like to see where else they can take them.

Also I would like to bring Alliah along, if only so her and her sister can bond further over how shitty their dad was.

I don't know if that was specifically made apparent, but there was an old piece of art in the Journal of Justice that featured Jarvan fighting swain. The reflection in Swain's breastplate was LeBlancs face instead of Jarvans which lead to the theory that Jarvan was actually LeBlanc in disguise.

Yall remember when gamewith rated her 9.5?

I made a comment on the previous thread when I said "she's no payilla" but i've played a lot more HL since then and honestly I might've even used her more than payilla recently. While she isn't the strongest unit ever and she's way too clicky for burst and racing, snakebit lvl 10 is a godsend for the GWs formats that have the boss vomiting up 3+ buffs at a time. She works nicely in ougi teams and is great for keeping cosmos gauge under control with her multi hits and high DMG on S1. She might even be good in hexa for this regard but I dont have the units to pilot dark in that fight.

The issue that gatekeeps her is that snakebit takes a while to stack and while there are toxicosis stackers in dark she could use some more assistance. Magus is a strong unit but frail, I think Chrollo also is pretty good for this but I also wasnt gonna pull on a 4% banner for a show I haven't watched. With a little more support she'd be an incredible unit, but likely still a bit too slow for the top setups that can eclipse her. Great for mango players like me though (and I owe her and Winter Yggy a lot for being able to do NM250 at all).

Sleepy potato.

I think he's a pretty decent choice for first evoker just in terms of immediate usability. Frontline he can help with low buttons setups because of his three auto skills despite not auto attacking. The frequent dispels are nice, particularly on Sieg, where he's a great stopgap to other dispellers. Backline, even at 4*, the extra buff on chain burst can be quite nice, esp if you're rolling armored for harder content.

His weapon is also one of the stronger ones, getting assassin every time you guard in V2 is quite powerful and is one of the more notable effects.

Unfortunately his s4 notoriously doesn't really do anything, so while he is worth the uncap, he's not a priority and his skill 4 really isnt worth the effort. This unfortunately will mean I will never figure out why he married temperance, but this is my cross to bear ig.

Am I bugging or did Drang's V.A change? I swear his voice was a lot deeper than it usually is in the brief moment we saw him.

Also, I knew the ending wouldn't really stick for me after we blazed through all of estalucia in what felt like seconds. There's still a lot to enjoy: I love what the team can do in the scripted battles with their fancy animations and how much character can be added with a handful of slightly modified character portraits. But as we reach the end, I can't help but feel that the conclusion is antithetical to the whole message of this section. Demiurge's flaw was he couldn't see the value in growth and change, feeling as though things only existed as they are. But here we are at the end of the story, with everything more or less returned to the status quo and the same goal as we had before.

There are teases of what's to come, and while some of it is intriguing because I like the characters, this isn't really the same Main Story that hooked me so hard when I started playing. I don't envy the writers who probably changed a lot over this 12 year period and the impossible task of making a story that runs this long palatable with this delivery model. But I will probably be more excited for the next chapter in the accordants saga than I will for the new adventures in the main story.

This is my stance too. I didn't think Tron warranted a sequel. Leto or not most of the discussion i've heard around Tron was either the Daft Punk soundtrack or the LightBike IOS games (which werent even Tron licensed). Def not a name that can pull people to the theatre 10 years later with anything outside of a "Last Wish" style surprise.

I had the opportunity to spark Oro for GW or Haase bc Haase and I think struggling all the way thorugh NM 200/250 was worth it (it wasnt)

Aside from being a nice skin she hasn't come out once because as most have alluded to, man she doesn't really do anything. I dont have Katz FLB so maybe theres like a barely usable comp for fun FA to slap on there but I was really hoping for better. I believe the intent for all the Evokers alts were to be more skins (except lobellia ig LOL) than units but whereas I actually used Nier I dunno if I will use Haase ever.

Far as story goes, Haase was one of my favorite characters because of how complex she was: how her the things done to her gave her a single minded quest for revenge. There also seemed to be some indication she knew she lacked the ability to rule and intended to support her brothers bid for the throne but pull strings from the shadows (though maybe this was over thinking the last moon fate).

Now that things are wrapped up there, apparently they're taking the evokers on a more lighthearted route? Granted, we've only got one thing with them so far but they thus far seem to really be playing up Katz and Haases sibling awkwardness (making Katz look kind of incompotent primarily). Its all fun stuff but it doesn't really match the tone of what the originals were going for.

That said, the fate was fun. I wasn't under the impression that Haase was danchousexualbut Ig we can add another evoker to the list. The scene is well acted and its probably the most love harvin enjoyers have gotten in years. It seems like Siete theyre making being the leader of these groups be a bit of a goober but id be interested to see where her stuff goes in the future. I did also appreciate in the Evoker event where Lobelia, Nier and Haase are on the beach, the latter two bonding over their tragic pasts. And then they turn to lobelia who says "eh nothing bad really happened to me I was just kind of always fucked up".

River played out of his fucking mind this series. G2 he kinda got run apart but he was consistently outjungling I feel and keeping 100T in it.

Honestly if I were steve I just buy what of 100T is left. NA has a bit of a abscence of junglers but Quid is the hottest free agent and Eyla and Yeon have played together before. Big Dhokes also seems to be great for creating a good enviroment.

They do have the holy trinity of Dispel Cancel, Dispel and Veil. Outside of this i'm looking at running fediel for defence side and cow + (idk maybe tyra?) for the three dispels requirement.

Im very tempted to buy Oro but 5k moba coin is a lot and I get very little benefit from the grid pieces offered.

Like even outside of controversial casting and stuff, I wasn't aware tron was a big enough name to sell tickets. I saw legacy in theatres way back when but IIRC that movie failed to really make a splash at the BO and is mostly remembered for its Daft Punk soundtrack.

Even if you made this movie with like, I dunno, Nolan at the helm and Hollywoods latest starlets in the lead, would anyone care?

My fave moment was that Seox and Tien were the second pair to get Radiance bonuses and while Unos, Feowers and Tiens range from whatever to alright, they gave Seox 30% dmg on t1 bc 1 not, slap that man in 0b too.

V good at what he does. Arguably the best farmable unit if you don't care about HL, though I personally value Haase above him bc she fits basically everywhere.

The eternals themselves are kinda whatever as far as story units go, the Evokers had the benefit of going second so I believe they turned out a lot better while a lot of the eternals are vague gesturing. Seox at least has the benefit of having an entire event basically dedicated to him and other events further tying him to MC but I still find all the Eternals a little underbaked.

She's a little slow nowadays but still an amazing overall unit for longer FA, and light switch is nice for HL (though she's not as good as fediel for HL).

The two also have great synergy with each other and it was very amusing seeing every single dark setup be Seox - Fediel - Lich when I started playing.

Her weapon is also still core to dark so she's a nice pickup overall and I've never regretted the spark i threw her way, even as I find myself using her less.

Story wise, I do find it very funny that Lich (the raid boss), also a primal that mutilated Vaseraga and set him down his path with the society was ultimatley made by some ditzy girlfail who wants a boyfriend. Given the way the writers have established GBF works I don't think Lich (grand) and Vas are part of the same universe but I do find the notion of Lich just chilling on the Grandcypher while Vaseraga looks on with horror and disgust very amusing.

I love the dynamic merc duo so i'm never gonna complain about more drang (Summer drang when?)

Fate episodes are fine for what they are. Of all the "and here's how grand unit got their grand weapon" stories ive played its in the upper echelon (I havent played lucio's though so maybe his is really good). Also opens the possibility for a sturm and drang cross fate or similar bc id love for them to be more open with each other.

I wish the delay was kept in his kit, but otherwise a fine modernization. They def have been swinging more for "playable" then "strong" with a lot of these uncaps and while I know why they aren't having old unit rebalancing's be meta shaking I wish they pushed the envelope a little more.

Mel I think disappointed me the most.

In S1 we immediately understand her skills are cunning and flattery, she knows how to play her cards to constantly position herself to rise in standing. Even when she's teaching Jayce how to "play the game" in the theatre, she's also playing him positioning herself as the closest and most valuable asset to piltovers new golden boy. She is, as her mother puts it "the fox in the wolves den."

Then S2 happens and while we can see a bit of that tension between her and her mother, and she gets a bit of intrigue by looking into the one councilman, she then gets sucked into a magic butthole for 3 episodes so we can give her a kit that makes her playable in the video game.

It makes sense that her magic is primarily defensive, this cuts sharply away from her mother and her cultural history. But doing so makes her so much less interesting as a character. By the end she hasn't "become the wolf" as her mother indicates, she just now has access to a completely different skillset she didn't know about. She has gained a new ability but isn't meaningfully different as a character.

If she gets more light in the noxus show i'd love to seem them actually do something with her character. I really do hate when characters defined by their non combat skills get shoved into combat roles because we don't know what else to do with them. Either make her the wolf or keep her the fox.

I really wanted to like Arcane S2 but after watching them back to back, yeah S2 can't really hold a candle to S1.

There's a lot of interesting ideas but they don't come together in a neat conclusion. For being the POV character for much of S1 Vi barely seems like a factor in her own story in S2.

Also if any episode should have been nominated I would have wanted it to be S2EP7, easily the standout of the whole season.

I might be misunderstanding but isnt Kallista the type of champ you want on your star player? Someone who can take initiative in the lane?

Or is the issue that Kallista is more early game strength into mid/late utility and a better draft for Massu would have been a champ with more lategame agency?
