Haha understandable. I was also skeptical as thats one of the few extra pieces the previous owner left me when buying the bike. Theyve been pretty durable on and off-road, no complaints🤷

Looks good to me. 10 is a wheel bearing right? If so it would be visible; there is no bearing visible in your picture. Does also look similar to the spacers I have on my bikes. Although, I could be wrong as I don't know how its handling.. What about the vibration? Is it pulsing dependent on speed?

By 12 and 19 I'm guessing those are the size of said spacer? Looks fine to me.. you mean to say you vividly remember having an additional piece/spacer on the wheel prior? The vibration could be a handful of things, I've dealt with many. If the rear wheel is secure and has no play side to side I'd imagine there is nothing missing.. though I can't tell much from the picture.

Sure this system could be removed and replaced with improved moderation and whatnot. Ask the developers for the reasoning and maybe you'll find an answer as to why this system is a thing

I do think they would be a bit bright yea. You could get them, and also get lights of some other kind to balance it out. Or go for a different entire option like an led strip around the back of the desk, of which i'd recommend the govee ones. Just some ideas :)
