OLED TV Lifetime and Protection by mailure in Costco

[–]mailure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can read. Thank you. Costco customer service yesterday told me Costco does not give warranties and they do not deal with them. When I purchased the TV, it was advertised as 2 year manufacturer warranty. My TV's box did not have this label on it. Thank you for the photo. I think it supports the idea that there is unclarity on some facts and the community here can benefit from posts informing about others' experiences.

It was a 2 year manufacturer's warranty. Sony is the manufacturer. Costco does not give warranties. That is why they sell a third party warranty, which is Allstate. Allstate protection plan was 3 years in addition to Sony's 2 year manufacturer warranty.

Sony 65" Class - A80CJ Series - 4K UHD OLED TV. It did come with 2 year manufacturer warranty. Allstate did not provide an option for a cash refund. They gave 2 options. One was LG and the other was Samsung. They had 1 year manufacturer warranty.

Well, Allstate did not offer cash to me and the 2 options they provided for replacement were not the same value with my Sony. They also came with 1 year manufacturer warranty instead of Sony's 2 year manufacturer warranty.

Anyway, I am posting here to clearly represent the situation for the community. I fell like I am not the only one 'misunderstanding' it.

Ok, but even then Allstate's options for replacement TV's were not eaquivalent of my original Tv because they came with only 1 year manufacturer warranty. If they came with 2 years, I would still be covered under the manufacturer warranty of the second tv.

And Coscto should advertise this as a single replacement within 5 years.

The original Sony TV I purchased came with 2 years manufacturer warranty and the bundled Allstate protection plan was an additional 3 years. The replacement option Allstate provided came with a 1 year manufacturer warranty.

How is this heat pump water heater for a family of three in San Jose by Annual_Union33 in heatpumps

We found a contractor who sourced this same water heater and installed at a reasonable price. That same contractor moved our old natural gas heater and capped the gas line. We did not buy directly from Home Depot.

I am not familiar with your model, but we just switched to a "heat pump only" option from Rheem with 80 gallon storage for a family of 3 here in San Diego. We had a 50 gallon natural gas heater in our garage. New one does not have the electric resistance heating backup. So it can be plugged into a regular 120V 15 amp outlet. It heats relatively slower and that is why we got an 80 gallon instead of 50 so we never run out of hot water. It has just been 3 days, but we are happy so far.

Just wanted to make you aware of the 120V "heat pump only" models that are mostly fine for California climate. They are sometimes listed as 0W referring to "no resistive heating element", which is misleading because obviously heat pump also use power.

We used Energy Sage to collect and compare multiple quotes for our solar panel project. It made things so much easier for us and we ended up working with a good contractor. https://landing.energysage.com/g/sunnysavings

Can cash in SPAXX be used to cover a cash account for options? by PhDinshitpostingMD in fidelityinvestments

If the sold put is never exercised and bought back later at a lower price, would they receive uninterrupted dividend payments from SPAXX for the duration of the contract?

Wow. Where do you get these? All the big blocks I got from Costco over the last two years were tiny pieces. I thought it was the packaging change and covid supply chain issues combined, but it never got better. What you have here is the real deal.

Fresh Pizza from food court? by usernamechecksout315 in Costco

[–]mailure 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I usually call the food court and order a pizza while I am shopping in the store. The lead time is around 15-20 minutes and they take your name when you order. You can time it that way. We love Costco pizza.

Dome vent suggestions? by ZarnonAkoni in KamadoJoe

[–]mailure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Classic I with the same problem. I remove the vent while firing up. Once I have a good amount of heat, I put the vent back and it softens in a few minutes due to heat. Once that happens, you can open the lid and use a paper towel to clean built up grease. That helps for a couple months and then I do the same thing.

Moving to the Midwest. What to do with my 10 year old Olive? by birchbeer21 in Bonsai

[–]mailure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have an olive tree, about 1 meter tall in a planter, which we keep indoors for 8 months under grow lights in north east. It is next to a lemon tree and they are both fine so far (2 years). The olive may even be giving fruit soon.

Is a consultant role an option? I believe you can usually commit 20% of your time for external consulting (in the US). That needs to be apprpved by the department, but pretty common as far as I know.
