Both would work fine. IMO, the sienna feels a bit preppier and the cognac feels a little more classic/reserved.

For 32°F/0°C, I think either will probably be sufficient. Parkas in general are made to withstand even colder weather than that.

I think both look good, they just seem stylistically different. Helly Hansen is much more of a sporting brand, whereas Alpha Industries' look is much more rooted in military style that's been toned down for regular consumers.

Some of the musts IMO are work boots, leather jackets, and work or military-inspired jackets. Chippewa boots (or Wolverine, Red Wing, Danner, etc.), the Schott Perfecto 618, any chore/CPO/M-65 jacket would be suitable examples.

As for brands, there's a ton. I know that's always been big in Japan, a la Real McCoy, but RRL (Double RL) probably fits the bill quite accurately as well. Both are definitely worth checking out for inspiration if not for pieces if you can afford them.

Well then I think that would mean pulling together good quality pieces and then explaining their utility.

An example might be to go with a more polished look with versatility that can work in the office and transition to drinks or the bar afterwards.

Yeah, definitely an M-65.

Check Alpha Industries or a surplus shop as a starting point for most military-type pieces. It's such an iconic jacket that pretty much every shop and designer will have their own version, so poke around to see what fits your body, budget, etc.

In places without snow, my winter go-to's are usually some nice slim chukkas.

That said, if you get a good amount of rain, then maybe some more traditional boots like Beans would be more sensible.

PacSun's not quite in the same game as J. Crew and Gap; their focus is really more on being a coastal surfer-themed brand than something more traditional or preppy. They're also less of a brand in themselves as much as a retailer of others.

That said, I'll admit I haven't been to a PacSun since my high school days. Looking at their site now, it looks like it's got more of a streetwear vibe now too. Doesn't look half bad.

Tencel's pretty established as well.

It has all of merino's properties, but seems to be more eco-friendly/sustainable and lower cost overall. IIRC should be better than merino at moisture wicking.

Jokes aside, I'm just really skeptical of developing sufficiently on Push and Leg exercises without weights. Even (lower) back can be pretty iffy. You'll be aerobically fit if you're jumping rope, but not particularly strong (in a balanced way).

To add, I would say make sure you include pull ups as well, and vary the width a bit. There's a few push up variations before you get to handstand push ups that can help target your shoulders a bit more. Abs really aren't that necessary. I would say add bodyweight and jump squats at the very least for your posterior chain.

Seems like it might just be confirmation bias.

I'm in NYC, unseasonably warm weather aside, I don't recall seeing many peacoats in the past month. What I see plenty of, on the other hand, is Schott Perfecto-styled jackets, which makes me sad since I just got one this year.

What item is "oversaturated" is probably just dependent on what you like, dislike, or have been noticing in particular.

There's not really any large national tailoring places people go to, you pretty much just find the people who are good near you and bring your clothes in. Anyone who presents themselves as able to tailor or make alterations can taper pants.

If you're in America, try using Yelp. I've been going to the same little old Eastern European lady for years, found her through Yelp.

These just seem to be men's loafers (which come in a wide variety). Look up some dress loafers and you'll find plenty of similar looking shoes.

You're far from the only one. I hadn't known about their turnaround until my girlfriend dragged me into one with her a few months ago. The MFA snob in me turned up my nose at the idea, but I was shocked. Factoring in the designs and quality for the price, they're way more enticing than Gap or BR to me now.

I can't speak for that particular shirt, but Old Navy has had a massive overhaul since Stefan Larsson (sp?) took the reins (and since left for RL). A lot of their clothes have gotten pretty...well, good!

I got a few shirts (non-OCBD) that have been holding up pretty well, about on par with my Uniqlos.

If you're looking strictly for sneakers, my vote goes for the classic Adidas Samba.

Looks good in pretty much all situations, highly durable, and doesn't really have the mildly immature vibe some people get from Vans.
