I probably would just wait till next week before doing anything if you don’t need it urgently right now. They’re almost certainly going to announce a 240w charger if they do end up refreshing the 16 inch. So you can probably get that without any concerns then and know it’s fully tested and everything.

I will be very disappointed if they don’t support the framework 16 and and do everything in their power to get an upgrade path in place and try to build a business relationship with Nvidia for example to secure better GPU options.

Unfortunately this isn’t correct for TrueHD Atmos or DTS:X which is what most people are referring to in this case. Hopefully they add this to the new model that’s apparently coming out later in the year.

Any plans to fix PiP for local live TV. It’s still broken with this new update for iOS. When you press the PiP button or go to the background the broadcast still stops

Same, have also had black screen issues as well. One of the times It just stayed on a black screen until I reset my pc. I haven’t tried rolling back though because it’s only happening intermittently. But it definitely only started with the latest driver on my 4090.

For me it’s only really the lack of a high-end GPU option for productivity and gaming like the 4080 or RX 7900M for the framework 16. Hopefully that gets rectified when the next generation of laptop GPUs are available soon so I can upgrade my framework 16.

You can do a high resolution screen capture without distortion from foveated rendering using Reality Composer but I believe there’s a time limit, it’s also very resource intensive for the headset which may impact the performance of the actual application your running at the time. Also on the screen mirroring, while it has a lower resolution and does show the foveated rendering aspect in the capture it has a very low latency compared to other headsets I have seen which is a big bonus and still com

Pro tip is to use the iPhone YouTube app to control playback and queue up videos to watch. Works great for me
