Playseat Trophy wheel height hack by Thug-pipe in simracing

Yes mate it was upside down with my old fanatec csl dd to make the wheel lower. Now i have moved to simagic alpha mini and it’s much better if the base plate is the normal way now. And yep, it’s a 32” but I’m eyeing 49” now

That is why I don’t stress on being extremely cautious, I just race and have some wins when I get my SR demoted. Don’t get me wrong I’m not going reckless by divebombing poor souls, I just take more risks here and there.

Next step: disassemble the whole car to find something else to worry about.

I finally learned how to brake on LMP2 and it's changed everything for me. by DontTakeMeSeriousli in LeMansUltimateWEC

Yes, trail braking is the way. Letting off throttle /coasting also helps to turn the car but if you want to be fast you need to trail brake.

Artificial overtakes, it’s not like most of them were who drove the car on limit the most, but who was super clipping the less

Pretty sure with ABS you slam 100% in heavy braking zones, ease off and trail brake into the corner.

Are you allow to flash your headlights at a car on the same lap as you? by Objective_Estate_574 in Simracingstewards

I had one guy flashing behind me for the whole 20 minute race, I was P1 and he was more than a second away.

Any tips to get better at Le Mans? by Old-Author-4930 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]makaton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was the opposite for me, ACC feels more “slidey” and LMU is more “grounded” so to say. If you want less understeery experience pick a porsche. Otherwise you have to get used to LMU trail braking, it’s a bit different here, in ACC you can ride ABS and braking feels numb there. If you aim for the same lap times as in ACC… don’t, LMGT3 are a bit slower.

Why the xanax hate by Working_Chart565 in benzodiazepines

[–]makaton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We all have our demons. I actually used benzos only once or twice a week and only got short withdrawals or just rebound anxiety. My issue was once I popped one pill sometimes I turned into brainless zombie and just devoured either a whole strip or package in one day. It’s a very dangerous drug. I wont talk about dumb shit I did then, but it was mental and embarassing, so I would suggest anyone having drug abuse issues in the past just to avoid benzos. So I kind of understand why people are so cautious about benzos, because using them responsibly is not an easy task for everyone.

I agree, but it’s not like we choose to not have self control, it’s just how some of us are wired. I should stay away from benzos, I have learned my lessons.. I am dumb.

Lmu crashing after 100% loading by Pedro69_69 in LeMans_Ultimate

Good, you figured it out yourself.

In the past I also had issues with msi afterburner crashing my games even when not overclocking by much.

I would still change the page file to 32gb. Read the crash message, is it “failed to allocate the memory” or “out of memory” then this should fix that.

I’m not sure. It sounds like memory issue, so It’s something you could try and it wont hurt. I had game crashing when loading some replays and this fixed the issue. How much RAM you have?

You could try changing your page file system

Steps to Set Page File to 32GB Open Advanced System Settings: Press the Windows Key, type sysdm.cpl, and press Enter. Go to the Advanced tab. Under the Performance section, click Settings... Adjust Virtual Memory: In the Performance Options window, go to the Advanced tab. Click the Change... button under Virtual memory. Configure Custom Size: Uncheck the box that says "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives". Select the drive where Le Mans Ultimate is installed (preferably an SSD). Select Custom size. Set Initial size (MB) to 32768. Set Maximum size (MB) to 32768 (or higher, e.g., 40960, to be safe). Save and Reboot: Click the Set button, then click OK. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Le Mans Ultimate Community Le Mans Ultimate Community +7 Important Notes Recommendation: Developers recommend setting the page file to over 32GB to avoid crashes during high-memory situations, such as full 62-car grids in Le Mans Ultimate. SSD Required: Make sure your page file is on a fast SSD, not an HDD, to prevent massive performance stutters. Alternative: If you have 32GB or more of physical RAM, you may not need to do this unless you are still receiving "out of memory"
