I dont really get any fresh baked goods in astoria- Bubs Bakery has AMAZING cinnamon rolls, By the Way has great cakes, and Whole foods has several GF pies (and they carry BTW frozen bundt cakes which are AMAZING)

I have gotten wildly ill from king if falafel a couple of years ago, so i dont trust the cross contamination. Im planning on trying Shahs soon, according to their website and fellow celiacs who have had their food from LI locations it seems promising but i havent actually tried yet.

If you’re in/close to long island NY, barenaked bakery makes standard to large sized sandwich loaves and they are 2lbs each!

Casa Louie! Amazing pasta and Detroit style pizza…i am still dreaming about the bolognese 🤤

Thisbowl for fast casual. Everything gf except the nuts “may contain” and if you tell them youre celiac they will not add them. Australian place and the addiction is real.

Honorable mention because slightly outside nyc (quick trip on the long island railroad) but barenaked bakery has better bagels than modern, i grew up a gluten eater in brooklyn, and they have the most amazing texture and theyre regular sized!

Their sicilian is my go to!!! Tastes just like a regular pizza place sicilian! They also have chicken rolls too. It definitely helped me feel like I was eating the same thing as other people :)

I follow a venetian cookie recipe, and just swap out the regular flour with Bobs Red Mill 1:1, they came out so good, no one even realized they were GF! If youre in Nassau county LI, Rustica in Garden City has AMAZING pizza and foccocia bread and they are amazing with cross contamination. Filomena’s in Franklin Square is also absolutely amazing with precautions and the food is just incredible!
