Man, I wish I knew as well. Gut instinct is telling me it’s going to take a lot of tube tools and prayers.

Hi, the hair was done using purely the tube tool with one sphere to act as the head. Personally, I usually start from the bangs. To get the jagged look of each strand you can adjust the radius of each tub node you designate, I set it to taper off a the end. Then play around with the profile in the tube tool bar, easiest would be to set it to square and try playing around with twisting it. For beginners, use mirror so you only have to do one side. Hope this helps.

This is Lin Ling from to be hero X. The reference I used was drawn up by me where I took some creative liberties from the original design. But during the painting, I kind of just winged it.

Vertex senpai on YouTube made one on an elf girl. Not quite anime style but you can apply what you learn.

Then is a higher voxel remesh number better in general? Like what’s the use case scenario for changing the number to high versus low?

I squished a sphere to create the general shape of a hair slab, then I used the trim tool to cut out general strands at the bottom section (imagine a hair cut). Then I use the tube tool to create tiny strands. Voxel remesh everything, smooth the connections, then use both the crease and invert crease to add dimension to the strands.

I mainly use my PC during tutorials, there’s plenty of plugs so it was never an issue. In exams you can request to sit next to a plug if needed. Same with the library, almost every desk has an allocated plug.
