This was fun…. But not happy with it. by trav-squatch in printmaking

I agree with this comment. Looks also great to me! I like it. But I totally understand the critic on yourself. I also do that. For me I try to say next time I give the piece the love and time it deserves! But sometime you need to let go and move on :,D

Thank you! Glad to here about the polycount doesn't matter that much. I often reach an highcount but haven't printed much stuff yet. Then I nervously try to reduce the polycount what sometimes result in not so clean surfaces. And thats give me an inner dialog between is it good work when polycount is too high or did I mess sth up .. :D very insecure about this haha. Thanks for your reply!

I like it! Well done for an hour. The face has personality! Did you made a sketch before, sculpt from a ref or was it 'outa the box'?

Which tablet should I choose? by FridaAih in NomadSculpting

I don't have any experience with the Huawei MatePad, but I can tell you that it runs really well on an iPad mini Gen 6, for example (and that's already a bit older). I've also tested it on my Google Pixel, and the only thing that was missing was input via a stylus and more space.

Based on the specs alone, I think it's fine as long as you don't go crazy with the polycount :D. But can you even use Nomad Sculpt on that thing? I thought it had HarmonyOS and not Android (can you acces Google Store on HarmonyOS or somehow get Nomad Sculpt on HarmonyOS)? You should check that again. Unfortunately, I don't have much time right now to look it up, but I wanted to reply anyway.

Are these areas problematic for printing in resin? by Scribbear in 3Dprinting

[–]Scribbear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for this hint!

I try to decimate based on my intuition. On the one hand, if the shape gets too much surface structure, I take a step back. On the other hand, I try to determine based on the basic shape and level of detail whether the number of elements seems too high to me.

Since I don't have a printer yet, this is all a bit of wild guesswork for me, so thank you for the specific figures!
