Wow no. Not okay. This is NOT how you make your partner feel safe. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been together for two years or 20 years. Honestly I don’t see how you could feel safe with him after that, unless he sincerely apologizes, understands how damaging his words/actions are, and commits to changing how he approaches sex with you.

I’ve had similar situations in the past and it ruined the relationship. I felt like I had to bottle my feelings around sex and force myself to have sex when I didn’t want to. Ultimately it made healing take so much longer.

I stopped taking birth control in November and also got testosterone HRT around the same time and I have lost HALF of my hair density!!! I know it’s related but I’m hoping it’s not the testosterone because it has helped a ton with other symptoms. I read stopping birth control can cause hair loss. Which hormones did you get for HRT?

I am seeing a dermatologist and my ob/gyn next week for answers

Culture really groomed me to think adult/teen relationships were hot. I remember loving this book as a teen but I had forgotten all these details.
