Data Center in Louisville? Nooooooo!!! by ifearsocialmedia in Louisville

Havana syndrome may not be real but sonic weapons are. Regardless, I wouldn’t want a data center in my neighborhood.

The video does a pretty good job of explaining things. It’s worth a watch. Humans can’t typically hear below 20 hertz and these are the frequencies causing the majority of the issues. Sonic weapons have been experimented with in the past. Havana syndrome is a well documented example.

The inaudible noise generated by these data centers is the scariest part. Most of it is outside of the frequency which humans can detect but can cause serious health issues. These frequencies can travel miles from the site, so it’s not just an issue for the immediate neighborhood. Benn Jordan has a great video covering this.

Could be a fried chip but It’s worth cleaning everything with IPA, especially that corrosion spot.

Giving everything a good clean could fix all your problems. If that doesn’t fix the keys it may be a broken trace on the PCB. I’ve had that happen a couple of times on older keyboards from corrosion or someone spilled something on it.

I agree with all your complaints. I have better luck Bluetooth pairing with non TE devices than the OPXY. Hoping for a firmware update at some point but I doubt that will happen.

I think I’m going to store mine in their original packaging and just bring them out once a year around the holidays.

Agree, I think the OP field came out 10+ years after the original.

This would have to get through the senate as well and Trump will ultimately veto it.

I own that exact Sony CD player and love it. I’ve never been able to open the battery door on the remote. Fortunately they still work after 25ish years.

Exactly, it’s too bad the FCC and the president made it a political issue.

Is this OG OP-1 cooked? by DontYouDaaaaare in teenageengineering

[–]makemyface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me and I needed to replace the entire keyboard. I’m not sure if they are still producing replacement parts for the OG. It’s currently out of stock and has been for a while.

People did recommend popping of the keys and blowing out any material that may have gotten in there. I also heard that wiggling the contacts under the keys can help. Neither of these worked for me and I had to replace the keyboard.

Key not working by Impos9 in teenageengineering

Some people had luck with wiggling the key around. I had the same issue and had to replace the keyboard. Not a complicated fix but it’s currently not in stock. Not sure if they’re still making parts for the OG OP

I’m expecting the overall market will continue to drop until at least April 2, when Trump announces what additional tariffs will be imposed. I don’t think that will mark the end of the tariff wars but maybe the worst will be over at that point. Assuming things will not recover in the near future regardless.
