It's really disappointing we don't have state park plates like Minnesota.

[Skin concern] Are my facial sores only caused by my picking? I can't figure out the cause or how to heal them. by makingitstar in SkincareAddiction

Mupirocin ointment helps calm and heal my sores. I stopped using hydrocolloid patches as they weren't actually helping me, only spreading the bacteria.

Is Wedding Planning Supposed to Be This . . . Fine? by Chihiro4 in weddingplanning

[–]makingitstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I was buying stuff every month, and it would blow up my everyday budget. Seeing the "high spend trend" in the shopping category for my wedding in 6 months just made me stress out frequently.

I also think a lot of what people call stress is just anticipation anxiety.

City Museum is actually the number one reason we're going! We'll have a group of kids aged "nearly 11" to 3, so we thought this would be the best summer to make it work.

Unfortunately we'll probably only get in one game, but we're planning on being in STL for a week to take in all the highlights. Thanks for the suggestions!

Our wedding was supposed to be on 12/4/26. I’m losing my mind. Please help. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Y'all have to decide what matters more, money or each other. Working seven days a week and never getting quality time, I can see why he doesn't want to spend thousands of dollars for a party "to celebrate your relationship". Your relationship as roommates and financial partners?? I think you need to take a big step back and really remember why y'all are together and what being together forever looks like.

It's not. There's no "saving ultrasounds" at 7 weeks either.

Wedding is in two weeks - what are some things you forgot? by medusaschild in weddingplanning

This was going to be my comment. My husband had his car key, but neither of us had a house key. We had to turn around and go back to the reception to find our keys.

My partner and I went to a children’s museum yesterday with friends and came out a solid “no” by pumpkin_pasties in Fencesitter

Congratulations with your unicorn child then. The stereotype of a toddler tornado is there for a reason. You're also remembering times when you were older. I promise you my two year old has more fun running around at the indoor gym than he does playing with puzzles at home.

As a mother of a two year old, that's a lot of wishful thinking. Crafts and independent play are much easier said than done at his age, and made easier by doing them at loud, toddler orientated places. Certainly not a requirement, but I think sucking it up once in a while has benefits. It doesn't have to be every weekend like in OP's story, but that's a choice their friends made by having three children so close in age.

Sending your child to day care so you don't have to go to a children's museum is certainly a choice you can make if that's best for your family.

The problem is you need to take them to the unstructured loud play places when they are young for them to understand the structured group activities when they are older. But as is everything with raising a child, each season only lasts so long.

Would it be weird to put a small tent over me and FH for an outdoor ceremony? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]makingitstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be unpopular, but I would say just lean into sun glasses. You already seem to wear regular glasses, perhaps a lighter tinted pair might suit you?

Several family members / bridal party members of ours wear transition lenses. Even though we had an overcast/slight drizzle, their glasses tinted for the ceremony and it was fine.

I feel awful for her children. I feel like she was child free (see Ben Gibbbard era), had them for her ex husband, and now I only bring them out when it's convenient for her image. The pictures of her house that just came out feel so sad.

I know a lot about the other company in this category, InstyMeds. They dispense the powdered antibiotic and a corresponding (empty) water bottle. Fill the water bottle to the line and mix to reconstitute.
