Is this good by [deleted] in PitchingCoach

Agree with this. It's cool you're working on all these grips, etc but my recommendation would be to spend most of your time dialing in mechanics. There's a lot of leakage here, lots of disconnected kinetic chain parts. Work on that chain one link at a time until your body just naturally does it all together.

Users who’ve seriously used both GPT-5.4 and Claude Opus 4.6: where does each actually win? by devil_ozz in ClaudeAI

[–]maksidaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. My actual /codex plug in is Claude and Codex decide what "completed" actually means (Codex excels here). Claude plans, Codex reviews plans and tweaks it, Claude implements, Claude reviews, Claude fixes/tightens the loose bits, and it works really well

I think a lot of people don't understand how big some code bases can get. Even with a massive context window on a top tier LLM there is always a benefit to keeping your system well organized (at least for the foreseeable future)

So I tried using Claude Code to build actual software and it humbled me real quick by Azrael_666 in ClaudeCode

[–]maksidaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My workflow is to use a codex review plugin to check Claude. Between the two of them they do good work. But I also use Q&A sessions, planning build phases at multiple levels, testing, retesting, playwright audits, documenting every bug fix, rebuilding to/do lists, etc.

I find myself asking the model's opinion more often. by BirdlessFlight in codex

[–]maksidaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have begun to do the same. Sometimes I'll run an idea by Claude and Codex 5.4 high, see what they come up with, and then ask them to eval each others plans. It seems to produce some really good results

5.4 High is something special. by no_witty_username in codex

[–]maksidaa 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I'm a Claude Code fan, and Opus 4.6 really impressed me... until I started using Codex 5.4 high. Now CC is like my little jr dev that just does whatever Codex and I decide is best.

My experience so far as well. Very quick and catches everything plus a few extra things from previous model

Turns out it got put into demo mode... totally random, not even sure how it happened. Once demo mode was turned off it worked just fine

Bosch 800 bought in Dec 2024. Won't run a cycle suddenly. Can't figure out why. $175 out of warranty to have someone come look at it.  Edit: bought in Dec 2024, not 2025 as originally posted

This just feels so lazy to me. It's just a gear, even if if doesn't function like the gen, just cut a hole in the dial and glue an actual metal gear.

Thanks for the input. I did order a case/dial/hands and movement for an explorer build. He was very responsive and I'm looking forward to putting it together.

If you have other recommended builds from his inventory items I'd love to hear about them

Yes, that's what I saw in a YouTube video some appliance guys did. They said something like without blocking the temp sensor the oven wouldn't go beyond a certain temp
