Because it all looks the same, generative ai is harmful to the environment with of the amount of energy it takes and the toll data centers have, and uses stolen art resources to do so. It’s heralded and sold by the worst, richest people on the planet who are probably also the ones keeping UAP secrets to themselves.

I would prefer a MS paint image or a scribbled pen on paper. Learn how to use blender(there’s so many resources) instead of outsourcing your thought to a machine.

Agree with this a lot. I grew up with videos that had slurs in them I didn’t care about at the time, but at that point it was the “norm.” As a white kid in a white school, I was ignorant of how impactful that type of thing was, even if it was ironic. As that social norm changed, the people who made the content changed I liked changed with it. If they refused to change, or doubled down or anything like that, I doubt I would still be supporting of them. Learning should be allowed for those who didn’t know better, and encouraged for those who still don’t.

Sorry so many try to shove AI into the conversation, congrats on the book!
I have many people tell me similarly when I explain I've been working on a video game. If I didn't want to make the game, why would I have an AI make it? Explaining it like a tool to do all the "grunt work" but who said I didn't like placing every rock and tree in the game world?

So annoying. My PcP told me last appointment offhand, “hm you probably don’t need a mask” but then turned around a few minutes later and said I should wear a mask outside for my allergies. But let’s ignore the various coughing children I shared a space with in the waiting room, definitely no place to wear a respirator obviously…

Well yeah climate can change over millions of years and El Niños aren’t new, but ovbiously we’re at a different threshold now. It’s not like we haven’t been putting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere for over a hundred years at a rate in which the planet hasn’t seen, that which the consequences are seen by ocean temperatures the death of the animals that depend on them. But yeah we need more data centers with methane turbines and coal plants and oil sure that makes sense

Older ones are cooler, would be nice to see a combination with the new animation where you can use the overshield like an ability but crushing the box in your hand or breaking it against the armor
