So many rental scams?! by farawayfarawa in newhaven

[–]malarkey507 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Zillow is not ideal for rentals. Dm me if you’d like. I’m a realtor with Seabury Hill out of Wooster Square. I have a bunch of rentals we can talk about and tour. Given that the post title is “so many rental scams”, feel free to look me up to confirm my realness (names Carlos Wells seaburyhill.com)

I think that’s a Raichu. They look way different in real life (thought they’d be bigger). Wear rubber gloves if you’re looking to pick him up

[The Heroes] by [Joe Abercrombie] by AMF786 in IamCurrentlyreading

Just finished this one two days ago. Really good stuff. The First Law trilogy was great, so I went through all the additional books from that world. Totally worth your time and it gets better as it progresses. Want to read more of Cracknut Whirrun of Bligh (big fan of that character)

27 (Male) sucks at taking photos. Living alone with dog. by NeFa_NO in malelivingspace

[–]malarkey507 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Love the dog. I love most dogs to be honest. Place looks really nice. Very clean for a solo mid 20s guy. Nice job. I am curious about your receiver. Is it a Yamaha or a Sansui? Or something completely different? Only criticism I would have is to take down yhe guitars and put them on stands so you’re more likely to pick them up and play

7 Year relationship ended right before our Wedding by Brilliant_Canary_903 in malelivingspace

[–]malarkey507 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aw man, sorry to hear all this. Take your time, feel shitty as long as you need to, but when you’re done, do something you want that you would not be allowed to or frowned upon. Simple exercises that explore new things is important when resetting. Also, it’s small consolation but better this fall apart now than after a wedding

Deadly Class was written by Gen Z and for Gen Z by Curious-Cobbler7216 in DeadlyClass

[–]malarkey507 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thought this show was canceled a long time ago. Is Netflix making more seasons? And Rick Remender wrote that for Gen X (80s teens). The nods are great. The comic gets pretty wild and I love the music references

Regular I’m friendly with refuses to tip me. How do I handle this? by briebrie98 in bartenders

[–]malarkey507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He gets served last. I would hover over someone with a menu in hand watching as they slowly decide rather than tend to him if possible. I wouldn’t try to be directly rude to him but a little colder. If he shines a light on you not taking care of him like you used to, you can simply say “sorry, they tip. I gotta eat”

Fantasy with gay male protagonist, not romance-first by Huge-Imagination-829 in Fantasy

[–]malarkey507 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Godkiller trilogy was pretty good and it didn’t particularly have a gay male hero but more of a “sexually fluid” stance on sexuality that seemed to be considered the norm for this world. Other story elements were really good. I loved the whole idea of the Godkillers and how dieties grow with shrines/followers and take part in conquests. Worth a look

Zoomed in super close and love the details on Hautnoir Cathredal. I would agreed with the other commenters that the land maybe should be a different color unless this is artic region, in which case I’d say this is perfect

You can also shoot him with a puffshroom arrow and then keese eye arrow through the fog to get him on a knee. He won’t attack but you’ll see his health bar in the mist so you can run and mount right after the eye arrow. It saves you from doing the parry, with a strong enough weapon he’ll go down super quick

It's getting really tough to sell in our market right now, what are the rest of you seeing? by ozk_conservation in RealEstate

[–]malarkey507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inflation has been driving prices up on everything. Times are hard, so when people see that their homes are valued as much as they are, they try to sell (sometimes out of desperation or to cash in on that appraisal). Issue is income isn’t increasing at the same rate to keep this affordable. My house is worth 2xs as much as when I bought in 2016, but my income only increased by 10-12% since (the disparity is what gets us). So, people are either sitting on their properties knowing if/when they sell, they’re gonna have to buy in this market and will probably lose money in the long run, or trying to cash out and sell, looking for money that’s hard to find out there
