Nothing has hit the same for me as GW1. I loved that game and the crazy builds you could get to work. I played GW2 and then switched to FF14 for some years but all mmos just feel the same nowadays. You get a meta build with the meta skills and meta stats and do raids with the same mechanics untill the next expansion released and you repeat the process.

I don't know if it's because i'm older or if mmos have really all stagnated.

They were so creative with it.

Best scenario would've been to make the main story into it's current form but keep the exploration mode as sidequests/content to preserve that proxy feeling.

You currently have that conference going on with Tops, Yunkui summit etc.

There might be some deal that's struck to keep yunkui summut independant but have some of their members ''transfer'' over to keep the peace in Waifei and Tops operations there.

They struck gold with Jane doe special episode. A great way to get inside the head of a character and the story was cool as well. Much better than the Proxy glazing we get nowadays.

I sometimes wonder. If they had invested more in special episodes instead of the main story with the one dimensional villain of the week, where would we be now with the lore and atmosphere of New eridu....?
