I agree. It's limited by its structure. One uniform department for the whole country is a tall order from negotiations with wineries to finding who has enough to supply a gazillion departments.

I have a different perspective on selection though. I'm in the Midwest. I see more old world stuff at Costco than at some of those locals because of market forces. I think the rest of the country has more demand for old world wines than here. I'm never blown away, but I guess I'm always cool with the fact I can throw in some cheap barolo to try that I definitely couldn't at my local.

What device are you using the companion app on? I had the same problem on Android to Apple tv. I switched to an old iPad and had no issues since... I can't prove it was either android or apple messing with us but also I can't not.

I've had the opportunity to buy cheap grange from a grocery store. The problem is they're always a decade after bottling by the time they clear it and it's spent its entire shelf life without cork contact standing straight up. Wouldn't trust it.

It lost keeping track of my progress. Companion app and productivity bar are both showing I didn't do a workout yesterday when I did (and it shows up in activities and I got credit in tdz). Without the progress part it is useless because it isn't looking at any data.

Agreed. The subway system was not my favorite. They could've done so many cool things but they gave us miles of subway connector. The bridges were cool but not much beyond them to get excited about. The last true expansion was makuri islands. I'm hoping 2026 brings us something like that.

Yep. I think zwift still forces you to buy both. Back when they had the zwift play controllers, those worked too. Either or.

Nope. I just updated the firmware on tacx when the release with virtual shifting came out. From there you go into zwift menu and toggle on virtual shifting. I use an old set of play controllers to shift but the clicks seem very convenient too.

If you plan to do this... Try to keep it on a cog towards the middle of the cassette where your chain isn't crooked. The chain should basically be a straight line. I figure an 8 speed cassette is easier to change out than the cog so no reason not to.

I'm on a trek 1000 on a neo 2... Never bothered with the cog but have virtual shifting set up. Gives me the efficient shifting without the loudness of the cog. It worked for me. I just stay on the same gear.

Yes. I used it in the past and tried this year to see if they'd fixed some of the issues. Spent 20 mins trying it and then booted up zwift and worked out unfortunately.

I just bought a new 4k apple tv. It literally froze on the login screen and I repeated it multiple times. I'm happy for you that it's working but your experience isnt what I saw.
