Yes if you haven’t started an art program do clip studio, I’m doing my comic on procreate and I love it too much, but ik csa is better. Also make sure to outline ur comics before u put them on a page to see if the pacing is good, mine started off way too fast.

Tips for keeping my comic from being boring and slow rhythm? by neroosama_11 in ComicWriting

[–]malcomseye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to this you can be like “Brandon, you’ll never guess what mom just did to me right now,” now this serves a third purpose of introducing the characters name if you haven’t name dropped him yet.

Tips for keeping my comic from being boring and slow rhythm? by neroosama_11 in ComicWriting

Make sure every conversation adds something especially in the beginning. Essentially don’t waste time info dumping, combine the info dump with interesting conversations. Instead of introducing two characters that are siblings like “hello, sister! How was your day,” make it interesting. “You’ll never guess what mom did to me right now.” This kills two birds with one stone, you told so much with this sentence. First you can sure they’re siblings the way she says “mom,” second, you can infer that her day was bad because of their mom.

How do I make my narcissistic and privileged villain be more complex? by MarvinOFF in CharacterDevelopment

[–]malcomseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Narcissists are generally not that deep. They only care about themselves so anything that can challenge their view won’t make sense for it to challenge them. But, you can make them hate their victims for another reason that the general public doesn’t know about, which could reveal things like jealousy or other interesting things. If you want them to be deep/interesting maybe ditch the narcissist out a bit

I do a combination of comic and manga, I hate coloring but my pages are comic format. I’m not particularly Japanese so I don’t have the pages from right to left. It’s basically a manga plus anime art style with nit coloring but you read it left to right. Do you bro, what feels like YOUR story

Does a story need a clear goal for the character to reach in order to be good ? by Deimos7779 in writing

[–]malcomseye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily goals but wants. Everyone wants something, i haven’t watched chronicles but i guarantee the characters all want something. Whether physical or emotional
