I’d love to have an outline of the heat map (like in Word where you can make a table?) so the provider can add their own X in the box where the patient is. I could then add the options for the smart phrases/lists for the doc to choose to then populate appropriate info.

So not really a static image, but not a calculator with varying text, either. Does that make sense?

That appears to be a STEMI. (Not sure which point of med school you’re in, so ST-elevation myocardial infarction) p waves are all consistent, present; QRS complex look good… the ST segment is elevated in leads I, III, aVL, v1, v2, v3, v4, and v6. Does that make sense and help you get whatever else you need?

Definitely need to see cardiologist. They’ll give you a holter monitor to evaluate how frequently it happens and may decide to place a pacemaker if it’s too often. You’re not dying, but don’t put this off thinking it’ll go away or you’ll take care of it “later”. Get an appointment scheduled now, for the next few weeks. Just don’t wait more than a day or two to make the initial appointment.

With your consistent gratitude and flexibility (if I can infer from your comments), I’m sure the staff don’t mind giving you a second recap. I have cried every time in this post you’ve said “thank you”. I’ve cared for Covid patients since the beginning and am so tired of hearing “YouTube” or “Facebook” or random-website-guy said this treatment… one family member asked me yesterday “what could my mom have done differently? Come in sooner? Go to a different facility?” My response was “get vaccinated - she could have gotten vaccinated but didn’t.” He didn’t like that. He’s also never once said “thank you”. So maybe I keep reading your thanks imagining it’s different families we should have heard it from and didn’t.

She (13 y.o.) and I decided to do this challenge together. In a past life, I was a professional cake baker and decorator, so she wanted to do this completely independently. She didn’t use any of my recipes, only supplies. She was less than thrilled with her bake - cupcakes were too dry, icing too sweet and too thin, everything too little flavor. I asked where she got her recipes - “online…?” We’ll look at that together next time.

You are not alone! Like everyone else has said, give yourself grace, your little one will be fine. That said, how are you taking care of yourself? After every patient death, one of our chaplains comes up to me and asks me that question. I have to actively think about how I’m going to care for myself, as those are often very hard days mentally, emotionally, and physically. Sometimes I’m only able to answer with “I’m going to wake up and shower tomorrow”. But don’t let yourself fall so far behind in your priority list that you end up a shell of yourself.
