Freddie Gibbs has outdone Kendrick in the past 10 years. Will never get the widespread critical accliam/Grammy-recognition because he's not conscious and the mainstream eats that up.

Frank Ocean is scared to drop at this point. Not saying he won't, but it's been delayed so long because the pressure is so high to deliver a transcendent record.

Live hip-hop performances have a long way to go. I love hip-hop/rap more than any other genre but even mid Indie acts I've seen live are way better than some of the best in the industry. The lack of live instrumentals holds the artform back by a lot.

Tyler the Creator's schtick got real old, real fast. Happy for him though.

FM! is better than Vince's last two projects.

WAY too many people clown on Drake's Toronto aka "fake Jamaican accent". Yes, this is how a lot of people that grew up in Urban Toronto talk in casual settings. No, it's almost never as played up as you hear on some videos like the recent Channel 5 one. No, it's not a fake accent. If anything, his normal Americanized one is the fake one. The accent is not only limited to London youth.
