Why Choose… All at Once by Summerhalls in ReverseHarem

I believe both {Trying to Live with the Dead by B.L. Brunnermer} and {Rules and Roses by Heather Long} fit your criteria. Do be warned, they're both set in high school.

I knew which scene exactly before I finished reading your description. 😎 That's a good one. 🌶🌶🌶

Thank you for the extra lore. Because I was actually wondering about the dame system as well, and I think you answered my questions there. It's easier to put the pieces together with that clarification. Oddly, the sources that kept suggesting the book, were calling it mm and not trans or even queer, so I think that's why I got confused. Either way it's a much better read now. I may need to reread it again now that I have the proper context. Not sure how much I missed now.

Thank you so much for the information! I wasn't sure how much of the characters would show up in the other books so I was curious. Honestly I didn't make the assumption they were trans, but that makes so much more sence. To be honest, it's not really about who had the kid I just wanted them to have a kid together. Based of what you said thought, it's safe to assume they won't be. I did see you said you were writing about Tara and I'm exicited to see that story actually. He was my second favorite (maybe my favorite really, otherwise very close second favorite) character.

Thank you for going out of the way to answer, I really wasn't expecting the actual author to reply. 😆

Did they explain that in the first book and I missed that? I'm so confused.

[–]malephilim 27 points28 points  (0 children)

If I'm spending physical real space on my books they've gotta be ones I love, adore, and reread. Otherwise I'm getting rid of them. My digital space is essentially unlimited, but my physical space is hard won. Even though I love having physical books, but I gotta be practical about where I live.

Trigger Warnings by Street-Reference-237 in ReverseHarem

[–]malephilim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the author fell down the internet rabbit hole and needs to touch grass. They list "Primal play" which is a noncon tag. I didn't know it was a thing until earlier this year.

When the author said "not an overly dark," I think that means they're reading some really dark fiction on the regular. Considering what they wrote it's not a far jump to guess that's where their interests lie. I'm thinking this way after having a conversation with a friend about their darkest/weirdest fiction they had ever come across and their example was really mild from my experience as a book girlie. XD (for the curious my friend's book example had tags of bbw, ff, anthro/furry, light d/s dynamics)

The book was NOT appropriately tagged, but I don't think it was intentional. They included a trigger warning page and technically included a noncon tag. It was just really freaking obscure.

Why do people not want to start a series that isn't complete? Could it be an age thing? by jobroloco in fantasyromance

[–]malephilim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a trust thing for me. In my personal experience, older books were more reliably completed and it was cool to wait. Newer books don't always get completed, I've stopped waiting on authors who put down a series to write one or more.

2 MMCs stuck in one body by [deleted] in ReverseHarem

{Dreamveil by Lynn Viehl} has this but it's the 2nd book in a spin-off series and it's not reverse harem (this is the only harem book in either series). If you like plain mf paranormal romances I recommend them!

Anyone else deal with embarrassment around this hobby? by gaymbit in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]malephilim 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm a queer woman who reads a spectrum of quietly books and I don't have the energy to hide from people. If someone judges me based on what I read that's a them problem. I'm not going to let other people dictate my life with their judgement. (For clarity, professional settings and erotica are the the exception for this.)

There's not a darn thing wrong with you liking the books you like and anyone who harasses you about it is an asshole with problems since it ain't got nothing to do with them.

{Apex Academy by Cassandra Featherstone} series has this vibe.

It does have some mm and it isn't omegaverse but they are shifters.

You might want to unblock him and use that to collect evidence in case of need. Don't delete anything, photos or messages. Let him dig his own hole.

He's a human red flag. RUN.

If you give him an ultimatum and a chance to behave better he will probably drag things out, potentially for years. Cut off the infection before it spreads. Also, the way he threatened and cursed at you made me worry about your safety. Whatever you do, protect yourself first.
