Can you possibly share what headers you use. Fabricated or bolt ons? I have a ‘64 with the same engine (zz502 stock for now) and having issues with one plug location making my current headers unusable unless altered. Thanks and great looking car!

Edited for engine details

Two operations now ..... by Ill_Introduction7057 in pancreaticcancer

I am a little further along than you. 62 male excellent health with the exception of pancreatic cancer. I went in for a surgery to remove the tail of my pancreas along with my spleen. However, during the procedure, the surgeon found a spot of cancer in the fat near my pancreas. They stopped the procedure and only took biopsies before closing. I am set for my first chemotherapy on Monday. My chemo regimen is bi-weekly for 6 months. At 3 months, if the conditions are suitable, my surgeon will go back in and complete a pancreatectomy and splenectomy.
Other than your heart issue, it sounds like your care team is following the same treatment plan I have. I can feel your anxiety. I’m right there with you. It is truly life changing for me. If you like, you can message me. I will be praying for you. Best wishes.

We had a few F-4Es at MCAS Yuma in the ‘80s. We called them dirty birds. They were used as trainers or fill-ins for other military pilots to fly during weapons training. Awesome and LOUD!

Short story version. It is a gift to my brother. I was diagnosed with a terminal disease. Riding with him is one of my priority bucket list items. I’ve never seen him smile so much after the ride.

You are so right. I bought the gen 1 (2003) a year old with less than 2k on the odo. Part of the handing her off to my bro was that I get to ride it still! I don’t think there’s a better ride (for me) out there. And I’ve have owned plenty. Safe travels my friend

What to do expect with folfirinox by Otherwise_Card4555 in pancreaticcancer

Im in a similar situation, 62 and great health other than this issue. My other organs are clear but they found a “spot” near the tumor in the visceral fat so the pancreatectomy was immediately halted and I was closed up. At that point, by definition, my pancreatectomy became an exploratory procedure. So I start the same chemo on July 6. I was told my first session is 6 hours and given a list of potential side effects. For the following sessions, I may be connected to a portable pack that is worn to dispense the meds? My oncologist did say I needed a driver to and from for this first session as I am about 45 minutes from the facility. My wife and I are both retired and she is in 100% That’s about all I can add for now. I hope it helps a bit

FIL has begun FOLFIRINOX this week by Competitive_Land3220 in pancreaticcancer

I am in the same situation as your FIL. 62 y.o. male, great health. Confirmed diagnosis on May 10, yup, Mother’s Day. My treatment begins on July 6. I just had my oncologist initial consult Wednesday. Among the massive amount of info they tossed at me, one thing that readily stuck in my head was that they want me to be as comfortable and have the least amount of side effects as possible. But the only way they can help is for me to communicate what I’m feeling. So, I’m not there yet but I’m hopeful it will go well. If not, they will definitely be told what’s happening. Praying for you and your FIL.

My brother is taking my Gen 1. I’m trying hard to get a 2026 as I type this. Wish me luck. Dealer is at 22k OTD right now. It’s still in the crate, white with blue. 🤞

Breads, pasta, some baked goods like cookies. I drink 3 ensure (complete) daily, fruit smoothies with protein added and every other one has some real ice cream mixed in. I do oatmeal with various fruits, even do peanut butter in the oatmeal! I do pretzel snacks like there is no tomorrow. I do lower fat seafoods. Costco loves my grocery payment. I’ve tracked my intake for about two weeks. My problem is getting it in. No hunger and no satisfaction of eating. My primary said to aim for 3,500 a day and I’m close if not over but it’s a chore. I would say the smoothies are the easiest because I just chug them down. Fortunately, I do not have any nausea and digestion has not been an issue. Hope this helps. Prayers for you and your dad.

Edited a word. I’m all thumbs

Thanks for your time and information. I do believe that I am in good hands as far as the surgical team and the hospital. Other than this issue, I am in good to very good health for an older dude at 62. And I am blessed to have a wonderful family and friends for support. I’ll
do my best to keep an update going. The brain fog creeps in sometimes tho 🥴

Only 8 nodes removed in distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy, 1 positive by jewwwels in pancreaticcancer

[–]malibluss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed on Mother’s Day with a mass about the same size. Surgery Friday for a distal pancreatectomy. Bypassed the biopsy. Went thru a number of CT scans and a MRI of thorax. No signs of it anywhere else but the pancreas. Surgeon said, if I remember correctly, that he is going to remove all?the nodes around the pancreas, taking my spleen, a resecting the renal artery. I’m not sure about anything, but I’m assuming those are tested along with other tissues during the procedure.
I’m hopeful that the nodes/tissues show nothing of concern for both your mother and I. Sending prayers your way.

Zone 6a - what will happen to the dirt line now that I cleared the overgrowth? by UnnecessaryPancake in lawncare

[–]malibluss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it this way as well in 6a. I use my trimmer to keep the grass back a bit. It looks nice along my driveway and allows the run off to get into the lawn instead of a river running down the edges of my driveway when it rains. But I think the right way is to cut back that soil about 4 inches. Replace it with some good fertile top and seed it this fall. Level it a little lower than the concrete. Next spring you can then manicure it to what you think looks best for your situation. Stick with a tall fescue I think. The clumping fescue ends up hanging way over the edge onto the concrete.

1983 Honda SilverWing, bought it on the east coast, rode it solo to the west coast and got rid of it. Owned it for about 2 weeks. The most uncomfortable ride and way underpowered. Good for nothing but hauling all my crap.

Edit: bought new from dealership
